Have had my Tisas Carry for a year now. Aside from replacing springs to Wolff, for me, this thing is tight, shoots well and has a fantastic trigger. I just bought a Taurus from Buds and it's only like the 10th one!!!!!! Love these guys.

I purchased this pistol feeling a bit distrustful of things manufactured by berserk Turks. But, hey, it was an inexpensive add to my collection of 1911s. "I'll give 'er a shot," I thought. Turns out, this is an extremely, almost supranaturally reliable pistol. I thought it would be OK with 230-grain-by-God-ball ammo; but after a hundred-round break in, it handles all manner of hollow points, silvertips, ballistic-tips and "flying ashtrays" without hiccups. I keep mine stoked with 230-grain Winchester SXT +Ps. It loves them. I experienced exactly one malfunction while using - of all things - a new Wilson Combat magazine. This pistol seems happiest with Tisas mags which, I believe, are manufactured by Mec-Gar: currently about twenty bucks a pop at the importers website in Knoxville, TN. Accuracy: Holes-through-holes at combat distances of 15 meters or so. YMMV. Fit and Finish: There are very few machine marks on the internals but, hey, JMBs brilliant design is very forgiving of such peccadilloes. The CeraCoting of the (non-stainless) versions of my pistol seems particularly rigorous. I have about 1200 rounds through mine without any signs of undue wear. Speaking as a retired cop who carried 1911 pistols, off-and-on, for 27 years on The Job, let me say that I would not hesitate to carry this pistol on duty.

What a great 1911. I have several other mil-spec 1911s and wanted something classic but with a few modern additions. This 1911 made by Tisas did not disappoint. Very well made pistol with little to no tooling marks on the inside and a super smooth action. I also wanted a 4.25 inch commander style 1911 that came apart for cleaning just like a traditional GI 1911 and this was it. It comes with a short GI style guide rod, recoil spring plug and a barrel bushing, just like John Moses Browning originally intended. No full length guide rod and no bull barrel with no barrel bushing. I love everything about this 1911 except the ambi thumb safety. I am a right handed person so I don't care for ambi safeties on any pistol. Other than that, amazing deal on a amazing 1911 if you're on a budget. This is one of the best 1911s for the money. At the range, it ate everything I fed it from 230 grain hardball 45ACP to 230 grain 45ACP jacketed hollow points. It fed the the hollow points like a champ. FYI- if you buy this pistol, I highly recommend using Nosler 230 grain jacketed hollow points. This 1911 is also pretty light and has become my new EDC. 5/5 stars for Tisas and for Buds as well. This is a budget 1911, but as an earlier review stated, "Think Wilson Combat quality but for much much cheaper." Great pistol! If you're on the fence about this 1911, don't be. They also make a railed version of this 1911 too. This is the parkerized version here, but you can also get it in stainless. Hope this review helps anyone considering purchasing this 1911.

Tisas 1911 Carry Excellent Value, No Failures to Fire or Eject even with mild hand loads or Hardball. Very well machined tight fit. Shoots as well as any 1911 I’ve fired in the past

Nice commander length 1911. Fit and finish is good. Would be hard to find a better 1911 for this price.

I own a few 1911’s. Colt, Kimber, Springfield Armory and a new Tisas. Now I’m not going to say the Tisas has the finish of the Colt or trigger of the Kimber. I will say that with my eyes closed only the weight gives the Tisas away. The feel and amiability are comparable to my other three pistols. Fit is own parr to any “top shelf “ 1911. I bought the Tisas to carry when Im on road trips across this great nation. If I have to use it I trust it. Also if I do use it and have to turn it over for court or evidence it’s $425.00 not $2000.00 or $800.00. It’s a fine firearm and I don’t think anyone would be disappointed in buying one.

Great little 1911 at an entry level price. Mine needed a bit of break in but it runs like a sewing machine after a few hundred rounds.
