Would Gen 1 magazines work with this rifle?

Jonathan, the Compass II retained the same magazine well as the Gen 1 Compass for magazine compatibility. The best features from the original Compass have been carried over to the second generation, including 5R rifling, a three-lug bolt with a short 60-degree throw, a three-position safety and a rotary magazine that holds five rounds in standard cartridges or four magnum rounds. Karl, since the exact CT Scope is not listed in the description. Thompson Center Customer Service can tell you the exact Scope at 1 (866) 730-1614

This is probabliy Bushline or Hardline series of scope. The Crimson Trace scope glass quality is ok ok...on par with budget Bushnell 3-9x40 on the Savage XP II version. Its not that good, inferior to PA scope for sure. I hope this helps!

I am well pleased with this weapon. It has a threaded muzzle, a rotary magazine, a 3 position safety with a bolt lock and a safety trigger.
The stock has textured grip surfaces and it’s hardly the pick of the litter but it’s a solid option I believe.
The Crimson Trace 3-9x scope looks to have a clear view with a plain X-hair - no BDC or batteries here.
I can’t comment on the accuracy or the 5R rifling as I’m currently not able to access the range.
I have no regrets about this purchase; good price but even better value
