SCCY's CPX-2 is designed for concealed carry but large enough to get a good firm grip. It is considered to be one of the best priced, precision made "Pocket Pistols" on the market. Chambered for 9mm, it has a 3.1" barrel with a 1:16" right hand twist. The receiver is made from 7075 T6 aircraft grade heat treated aluminum alloy. The Zytel polymer frame features ergonomic finger grooves and an integral recoil cushion on the backstrap. The slide is machined from stainless steel with a Zytel overmolded polymer extension for ease of operation. This DAO has an internal hammer with inertial firing pin to prevent accidental discharge, and an external thumb safety with a guard molded into the frame. It has a smooth, consistent 9-pound trigger pull. It comes with two 10-round magazines with finger extensions bases installed and two flat magazine bases. This model comes with a Crimson Trace 1500 red dot.

Crimson red dot wouldn't dial in. Trigger awkward. Several failure to feeds. No feeling of trust emanating from this experience. Thumbs down.

I Made A Horrible Mistake...I Hate Everything About This Gun...I Would Give Zero Stars If I Could...
1) Worst Trigger Ever...The Reset Is Too Long
2) It Is Difficult To Load Even With A High Quality Speed Loader
3) I Am Trying To Sell It.Only 10 Rounds Through It..I Will Be Lucky To Recoup 50%. I Had One Gun Shop Refuse To Make ANY Offer.
4) The Red Dot Was Good....But It Rest Of Of The Gun Made It A Non-Issue.
5) Buy A Name Brand...Otherwise....You Will Have An Unusable Mess...I Would Never Trust My Life To This Gun...Especially For Follow-up Shots...

I purchased this SCCY CPX-2 RD 4 mos ago I have been to the range twice. The last time out the red dot sight went off,
I changed the battery and the red dot still doesn't work - the gun is useless without a working Red Dot sight what do I have to do
so we can get this gun up and running again??

I just purchased the SCCY 9mm. I’ve only shot it once. Shot very well. Took quite a while to sight in the red dot !
Trigger pull is very strong but you’ll get used to it…the recoil/slide spring is terrible? I could hardly pull it back
To load a round! And I had trouble getting 9 rounds in the chip,,let alone 10?. But 9 was ok? Very strong follower spring in clip.
Hard to load! All in all. It’s a 4 out of 5. I’m not dissatisfied with the gun. Very well made. I’ll carry it as a
Pocket back up.

I didn’t need this pistol, never bought a SCCY, and thought they were just cheap guns. But, the price was right, it came with a CT red dot, so I bought it. Surprisingly it felt good in my hand. I put the red dot on and headed to the range. I had already aligned red dot so it was pointed at where the sights were. All ten rounds in the within the 8 ring. I was impressed. Cons: Heavy trigger pull, thinking about installing a spring kit. And if you snug up the red dot to tight it quit working. Solved this by backing off the screws a little and putting on some blue lock tite. You can carry this piece without worrying about accidental firing because of the heavy trigger. It’s not a target pistol, but would make a fine self defense pistol.
