Does the red dot model come with a plate for irons as well?

No there is no cover plate included. And there is no rear sight on the slide. There is a notch rear sight that cowitness with the front sight milled onto the rear of the CT Reddot. But if you wanted to remove the optic you'd have to do so with a front sight only. SCCY's CPX-2 is designed for concealed carry but large enough to get a good firm grip. It is considered to be one of the best priced, precision made "Pocket Pistols" on the market. Chambered for 9mm, it has a 3.1" barrel with a 1:16" right hand twist. The receiver is made from 7075 T6 aircraft grade heat treated aluminum alloy. The Zytel polymer frame features ergonomic finger grooves and an integral recoil cushion on the back-strap. The slide is machined from stainless steel with a Zytel over-molded polymer extension for ease of operation. Now taken to the next level, the CPX-2 RD comes equipped with a Crimson Trace CTS-1500 Reflex sight.

It's a SCCY. I bought it because of the red dot to see if I would like the use of red dot. The price is fantastic value because of the red dot. The gun is functional with no problems so far, but it's still an SCCY.

My everyday carry has been a PPK/S for a long time. I was looking for a lighter EDC, got a bonus with the red dot sights.
Not a lot of choices for holsters, but I found a good one at the SCCY website.
It is just what I needed, but it would be better with a co-witnessed rear sight.
For the money, a great buy - and made in America.

I like the feel of the gun. Also, the crimson Trace Reflex sights are a great feature for this gun. However, I have not been to the range to test the gun and see how well the gun performs. The gun was shipped within 3-days of me purchasing the gun from Budsgunshop.com and the gun arrived without any issues or defects.

I love this pistol!!! The SCCY CPX-2 is one of my favorite budget pistols and provides allot of value for the money. I find that the pistol has good over all fit and finish and strikes a good balance between compact size and shootability. My pistol has proven to be 100% reliable and reasonably accurate at close ranges.
My only complaint is that the included RMR cannot be turned off once the battery is installed. Buds had very fast shipping.
