Taurus 856 Defender Night Sight 38 Special Revolver - 6 Rounds, 3" Barrel, Rubber Grips, Blue/Black, Night Sights

I like the 856 Defender 3" barrel overall. It is long enough for pretty good ballistics but still short enough for concealment. The fit and finish of the revolver seems good. The revolver has tight lockup and not timing issues. I like the Hogue grips that give a good grip but are still concealable.I have fired about 150 rounds through it without any issues. The night sight has a red circle around it, so no sight painting on this one. The night sight is visible in darkness. The fixed rear sight is narrow and can make it hard to quickly pick up your sights. The double action trigger pull is very heavy but smooth and has a definite stage to it. The single action trigger pull seems acceptable. Bud's service was excellent.

This is a fantastic little revolver. After a good pre-clean and lubricating out of the box. It was driving tacks at 10 to 15 yards. Taurus has a winner here. Thanks Buds for yet another great deal.

Love this gun, I think a 3" barrel is perfect and makes this gun easy to shoot and control. Would definitely recommend this gun.

Very nice revolver for the price. I really like this size, easy to carry but a bit more barrel than a snuggie. The revolver works great but shot a bit high for me at 15 years with everything except the defense loads I will carry. Those shot right on and are the only ones that really matter to me. I am happy with the purchase.

I've bought quite a few guns from Buds. As always, great products and great prices. This Taurus is no exception. Only one issue with Buds. Shipping time. It took 12 days from order to pickup with an E-check payment. To me, in today's electronic & digital world, that is way too long to process a check and ship. I knew it would take a few days because they say so on their website. Just seems like a long time. Won't keep me from buying again but it is a sore point.

very happy with this defender. thrilled with the price. the hogue grip is awesome but i switched it back to the shorter taurus grip included in the box so it imprints slightly less when concealed. my dad kept the hogue grip on his because he prefers the extra length to add his pinky to gripping it. sights are great, front dot glows in the dark, very cool. trigger pull and hammer pull are excellent, no complaints. super solid and slim for a 6 round .38 p and ready to take with you wherever you may go. its a matte black kind of finish and it just feels like a very solid tool. barrel length is pretty interesting. is it a snub nose or not? kind of looks like a snub but i really appreciate that extra inch or so, and makes little or no difference concerning conceal-ability. cant go wrong.

I love revolvers and this one here is great. I'm surgical with this one lol.
