Does the current Rossi R92 in 454 Casull being sold have a mag tube that can be loaded via the cartridge slot forward of the action? (as seen in the pic)

Brad, due to the fact that the Casull is simply an elongated .45 Colt case, the Casull chamber can and will shoot .45 Colt ammunition. Whether it will cycle reliably in the R92 is another thing. You will just have to try it and see. Stay safe & have a great day!

Hi Brad and welcome. Yes Sir you can but the jump of the bullet from the shorter .45LC to engage the rifling will cause a slight loss of accuracy. Cheers and stay safe!

yes you can fire 45LC in this 454 rifle as stated cycling comes down to the individual rifle and round

Yes it will fire 45LC but cycling could be a issue, some factory ammo has a hard time cycling in the gun.

Can the 454 in a rifle do anything the plus p 44 magnum cannot do in a rifle? And how is the kick in this rifle with full powered loads?

John, depends on what you plan on using it for. The 454 casull fires heavier projectiles with higher velocity and pressure. So if I was hunting bear I'd want the 454 casull. For deer sized game and smaller 44 mag is plenty and honestly probably enough for most bear but rather be safe than sorry. The 454 casull will also have more recoil. The 44 mag isnt bad, with the 454 casull your shoulder will likely be sore after couple shots. The 454 is going to have a little more knockdown power. Again just depends on what you plan to use it for. Hope this helps.

Haven't put to may rounds though yet only about 50 long colts and 20 454 casulls, but very time I've shot this gun it's been a joy guns very light which made me expect more recoil but with the built in recoil pad really reduces most of recoil even the big 350 grain casull kick back is pretty mild. Really help making great grouping because not having to focus on kick I was able to get a 2 1/2 inch group with the first 9 shots at 50 yards

Like the rossi levers, wish the price didn't change often. Was waiting for this rifle to be instock for years.

This is my 3rd Rossi R92 and the most fun one yet! It kicks like a mule, but I giggle like a school girl every time I pull the trigger. The Rossi R92s are not generally as slick as a Henry or Ruger Marlin, but if you’re like me and love tinkering, a little polishing and a spring kit will have these rifles running slick as a pin. The .454 will be replacing my 30-30 for deer, hog & black bear hunting in timber. To give an idea of what you’re looking at for performance, I chronographed several Hornady and Buffalo Bore loads and took a 3 shot average. Hornady 300gr XTP are averaging 1,750fps and the Buffalo Bore 300gr Dangerous Game were running an average of 1,730fps. The fit and finish on the current R92’s far better than it was on the first one I purchased over 10 years ago. All in all, these are great little rifles for a fair price. The dinky little safety and buckhorn sights are the main reason I give it 4 stars and not 5, both of which I remove and replace with aftermarket upgrades before I ever fire the gun.

Amazing The fit and finish is, premium. After using, handling the Winchester 92s. This weapon really is a great predecessor. Besides handling the extremely powerful 454 Casull cartridge, and the great old 45Long Colt including the very powerful 45 Long Colt +P loads.

Nice gun. Rare caliber hard to find rifle but Buds came through. Will always turn to Buds when needing a firearm. I like the lifetime repair/replace warranty they offer.
