FN 509 Compact Tactical Flat Dark Earth 24+1 9mm Pistol - FDE/Tan, 4.3" Barrel, 24 Rounds

My biggest and best purchase from Bud's. Buying a firearm online with Bud's is pretty hassle free, no problems with my FFL. FN makes a fine weapon and it works flawlessly. Great shorter barrel 9mm with a lot of possible accessories.

When I fire the FN 509C Tactical, loose-fitting magazines cause finger pinch (ring finger). It happens with the 12, 14, and 24-round magazines because they all match the body the same way. There aren’t any grips that fit to help the problem. Talon grips are adhesive strips. Hogue makes a grip that isn’t specifically for the 509, and some reports say it helps. I tried the Hogue HandAll Beavertail Grip Sleeve, but it isn’t easy to put on, and it’s not a comfortable or good fitting solution. This problem with pinching and too much magazine movement get a one-star for the product.

Very accurate. Trigger pull is nice. I regularly carry a 509C but would have no problems switching to the 509C tactical.

My EDC is a Glock19MOS. I was looking to purchase something different to use at the range.
I have the full size FN509 Tactical, and thought why not pick up the 509C.
I LOVE this gun. Suppressed with the Deadair wolfman and 147gr 9mm is it quite and fun to shoot.
If you carry concealed, the suppressor height sights do protrude more than Glock, so keep that in mind.

It seems to be a very good choice, except for the tigger. I orderd the 509 tactical from you also but have't received it yet. I don't understand why they put such a crappy trigger in an otherwise nice pistol.

509C is the little brother to the FN-X 45 which I love. About a 1,000 rounds through it so far, no mishaps.
Pros:
It is built like a tank. A midget tank.
Actually concealable.
Optics and can ready.
Accurate off the bat and with a Vortex red dot.
Cons:
Not great for bigger hands. Only the 15 round extender mag is long enough for me.
Significant recoil, more than FN-X 45.
Buds sent firearm without any mags, but rectified the problem quickly.
Overall, if like me, you are an FN fan, its a great addition.

Buds thanks again, all I can say is awesome my 1st 9mm. I have been a 1911 45acp guy for my life with exception of wheel guns (38, 357, 22mag). I must say this is the perfect CC for me, I love FNH it goes great with my SCAR17s, love it. You can’t go wrong with Buds & FNH products IMO!
