The XD redefined the industry standard for superior ergonomic comfort, ease of operation, features and performance in one fell swoop. The grip safety, Ultra Safety Assurance (USA) Action Trigger System, and the firing pin block safety combine to make this an undeniably safe defensive tool. The XD is built on a foundation of rock-solid durability and performance. It achieves this through the use of a forged slide and hammer-forged barrel, ensuring a long life and rugged reliability. A Melonite finish ensures that the pistol can resist the elements in the most unforgiving environments, and the slide is topped off with a tough set of steel white dot sights. It also features a Picatinny rail, ambidextrous mag release, striker status indicator & a loaded chamber indicator. The XD Tactical Model is the large bore longslide service pistol for shooters living with magazine restrictions. The forged carbon steel slide is Melonite coated and features generous cocking grooves both front and rear. The loaded chamber indicator works both visually and by feel, and the grip safety offers an additional layer of safety. A Picatinny railed dustcover offers plenty of space for accessories.

My first pistol in twenty years. I liked Springfield Armory .45 acp semi-auto with 10+1 shots capacity. Good affordable price. It had two safety locks, one on the trigger and on the back of the top handle to be squeeze and hold til you press the second trigger to release the shot. pretty powerful force when firing and made perfect target at 25 to 50 ft away.

I own a couple of other Springfield XD45s. This is my third one and I bought it for my wife. It arrived in new condition with a California legal magazine. This was not an issue because I already had several spare regular capacity magazines. I had no issues with shipment and the product arrived at my local dealer on time in new condition. I am well satisfied with the product, price and customer service.
