This is OK bulk ammo and only good for plinking. Very inconsistent powder charges. Have had to stop and make sure there wasn’t a squib many times (never had a bullet stuck in the barrel, but it sure made me stop and check). Some lots are better than others but none have been very good. But it was cheap and available considering the times. It’s better than two stars, but three is generous. As usual, Buds shipped promptly and the packaging was solid.

I purchased this for use in my m&p 22 compact. Even thou there 22 LR I expected better performance out of Federal. I had maybe 20 rounds that didn’t fire but out of 800 that’s not bad at all for practice at the range.

I have run hundreds of these through a Ruger 10/22 Takedown. No issues, the rifle eats through them. Good price and quick delivery as always.

Should have bought several boxes at the price I paid. This 800 round brick is now between, $150.00 to $185.00
Quality is from Extra Good to Excellent at 150 feet, usually under 2 inches, but is outstanding at 50 to 75 feet, holding X and 10 ring groups at 50 feet with 9.5 to 10 ring at 75 feet. barrel not that dirty after 100 rounds.

Decent ammo, seems clean with no excess grease or wax on the rounds. Cycled well through a S&W Victory. No complaints.

Very good ammunition, I fired 150 at the shooting range.

Won't buy this specific ammo again.
Had FTE/FTF issues, in multiple length semi-auto rifles and pistols, as well as some bullet tumbling at distances less than 20yrds.
I've used at least 6-7 types of their 22lr, (including bulk packs) and this is first issue I've ever run into with any Federal product, in any caliber.
Maybe I got a "bad batch"...?
Regardless, this is first/last time I'll buy this.

This is an acceptable ammo for rifle. It's rated 1200 fps and my chronograph shows that is accurate. But it's the absolute worst for pistol. I have a Glock 44 that will shoot most anything and with this Federal ammo, the spent shell just wouldn't eject. For every 8 round clip I had to clear the gun 5 or 6 times. I've shot Federal 1200 fps before but that was the Federal Target Grade in the white box that came as 325 rounds per box. That was great ammo. This stuff just isn't the same.
