This firearm is a good fit to conceal carry. I took it home and gave it a wipe down, swabbed the barrel and put 2 clips through it. Gun worked very smooth with no hang ups. Fit and finish is adequate. Main thing for me is I can rely on it. I will give it a good work out in the future to confirm that. Also I would like to give a thanks to Bud's Gun Shop. This is my first purchase from them, and they are very prompt with acknowledgement's, tracking and I received the gun in 2 business days. Good price as well. I will shop Bud's first from now on.

This is a very nice 1911. It has all the upgrades you want and was exactly what I wanted. Pistol looks beautiful in person. I wanted a commander sized 1911 with no ambi safety (left side only) because I am right handed and have no need for a thumb safety on both sides of the pistol. I also wanted it to be light weight, to hold a standard full-sized 8-round magazine. I also wanted the pistol to disassemble just like an old-school GI 1911. I do not care for full length guide rods or bull barrels on 1911s. In short, this 1911 met my criteria in spades. It has everything I wanted and as an added bonus, it has an amazing 3.5-4LB trigger, crisp and short reset, and also great sights (front sight is a red fiber optic). When you aim the pistol your eye is immediately drawn to the red front sight. Did I mention this 1911 is 10 ounces lighter than a full size, all-steel 5-inch 1911? It is super light and thin grips make this pistol fit my hand like a glove. This pistol is an amazing value from Springfield Armory. The light weight is due to the shorter barrel length and the forged aluminum alloy frame. I would steer clear of using P hollow points in this pistol, as it will beat up the aluminum frame. If you stick to 230g 45ACP target rounds and standard pressure hollow points, this 1911 with provide you a lifetime of service. An amazing carry piece that will soon become my new EDC. This is not a super expensive 1911, but it's not cheap either. You may pay more for this 1911 than others, but for all the features included, it's a great deal. It only comes with one 8-round magazine, so buy some Wilson Combat ETM magazines and you're all set. Thank you, John Moses Browning. Buds was amazing. Arrived quickly and in good order. 1 mag seems cheap of them. Gun was very tight and rail Surfaces were not smooth at all. Typical for production firearms these days. After cleaning and smoothing took it to the range a few times. Have about 500 rds thru it at this point. Shoots great very pleased and it’s a hole pincher for sure. Starting to break in. Slide finish is not as good as I would expect at this price point but…again…typical. It’s a good pistol and with some effort it becomes better. It’s 4 stars at best

The experience and the firearm were top notch. My Springfield Ronin arrived in excellent condition. Excellent communication throughout my layaway experience. I will be using Buds in the future and I would highly Buds to anyone looking to purchase a firearm. When it was all said and done my 1911 was about $600 cheaper versus the local gun store in my area. It’s a no-brainer!

I looked all over for someone who had this pistol Buds had one in 9mm and I fell in love with it. They ordered me one in a .45 love it even better after getting to shoot it. Gun is great fitting and runs so smooth. Love it.

Nice looking, good trigger(4-3/4 lb) and runs like a champ. Ran 300 rounds of Hard ball and golden sabre without a glitch.

VERY happy with my new Springfield Armory Ronin Operator! I like 1911s for nostalgic reasons (it's what I carried in the military back in the day) but the previous one I had, also a Springfield, was far too heavy for daily concealed carry with the steel frame and 5" barrel. It was like carrying a brick around with you all day. The Ronin with the aluminum frame and the 4.25" barrel is not only light enough to carry very comfortably and conceals well, but it is also crazy accurate. I was hitting 2" groupings around the bulls eye at 30' right out of the box. It is the most accurate pistol I own. As far as customer service goes, this is probably the 5th gun I've bought from Bud's over the several years I've been a Team Bud's member, along with various other accessories, and am always very happy with the service I receive.

Awesome shorter barrel 1911. Shoots great and looks amazing.
