The innovative Gen5 design changes are added to this small, light, accurate and powerful pistol that so many U.S. law enforcement agencies have chosen as their official backup weapon. By applying the Gen5 technology this model comes with nDLC finish, a flared mag-well, the proven GLOCK Marksman barrel (GMB) and an ambidextrous slide stop lever. Adjustable like the Gen4 model the subcompact frame of the G27 Gen5 features the modular backstrap and beavertail system (MBS) and comes with a reversible magazine catch to accommodate left and right-handed operators.

My e.d.c. love the glock sub-compact pistols they produce, this g27 shoots one of my favorite rounds fit my hands great day to conceal and with the 2 extension which gives you 11 1 you can't go wrong. Just hold on to this beast.

Once again Bud’s provides excellent service with two-day delivery. The Team Bud’s Lay-Away Program made it even better.
I have owned .40 Caliber Glock handguns since 1992 and they got it right with the Gen. 5 series. The nDLC finish is excellent. The trigger is good and the pistol is accurate. If your used to shooting the .40, it’s very smooth. By the second magazine, my shots were touching each other.
The thicker, heavier slide mitigates recoil. Be careful, standard Glock 27 magazines will not work. Right now, Comp Tac and On Your 6 Designs are making holsters for the Gen. 5 27.

This is a solid gun. Be aware however that the Gen5 .40 S&W Glocks have a thicker slide than the 9mm versions and the older Gen 2-4 .40 Glocks. That means it doesn't fit a lot of Glock holsters that fit earlier generation .40s. The thick slide makes it a lot bulkier than the G26 and Gen2.5-4 27. In the case of the 27 I think it makes the gun too bulky to serve the purpose of a gun in this side category.
