The Escort SDX is a modern sporting style gas operated semi-auto
shotgun. The gun features an oxidation proof 18" Chrome plated drilled
steel barrel; reversible bolt cocking handle for ambidextrous operation;
fixed tactical stock with integrated pistol grip, elevation adjustable
comb, two 5-shot magazines and 2-shot magazine stored in buttstock; soft
rubber butt pad for recoil absorption; detachable alloy upper and
advanced polymer lower receivers; Picatinny sight rails integrated into
receiver and forend/handguard; ThermoDefend forend with ergonomic grip
and Picatinny accessory rails; detachable carrying handle; adjustable
rear sight built into the carrying handle, adjustable front sight and
sling loops. Includes optional flip-up front and rear sight set and
three chokes.

The Escort SDX12 is a great weapon. I was a little worried that it would be too much for a 79-year-old, but my first shot proved to be very good. The weapon is heavy. The extra magazines could very handy. The sites need to be adjusted some but not enough time with deer season under way. I think it can be used to turkey hunt. I will be checking it out in a few months. I forget the clerks name that helped me in the purchase was very helpful. I purchased the gun online and had it shipped to Sevierville store, and it all worked out just perfect. Thanks Jim

This shotgun is very well made, easy to dissasemble, easy to adjust sights, everything is easy all around to manage. I am too tall yet it fits like a glove in my grip. The included 5 round magazines work smoothly and pop right out when released. I bought aftermarket magazines for 10 rounds, they fit well, but needed a lot of cycling to pop out smoothly. I sat on the sofa and just did it for as long as I could stand and they work much better. Weak shells, 1200fps, jamed badly, but anything over 1300fps cycles smoothly with no jams. 2 3/4" and 3" shells cycle without troubles as long as they are over 1300fps. The shorter shells are easier to load than the 3", the magazines are a bit hard to load, I used a pencil to push down the loaded shells at the rear and it makes loading the next shell much easier. You need a tool of that sort to make loading smooth. The gun is heavy, about 9 pounds empty, but the handle makes carrying a breeze. All in all I couldn't be happier with the purchase. Shipping was fast with no damage, and all the included things were appreciated.

The money you pay buys a whole lot of gun. This thing is solid. I purchased the SDX12 for home defense. I had been using my old Remington 1187 shotgun, but it is for hunting and is a full-size goose gun. There are so many options with the SDX12. The pic rails allow a lot of customization. I can add scopes, dots, lights, bi-pods, slings, and much more. This is the eighth firearm purchase from Bud's. I placed my order on Sunday and received my shotgun Wednesday afternoon. Super fast processing and shipping! I can not say enough about the quality of service from Bud's Gunshop or the quality of the Escort SDX 12.
