Can't beat the price. Fires fine, have used multiple shells from different manufactures with no problem. My wife likes it and we all know that"s good!

I have a special section of my collection that includes a very complete assembly of Heritage handguns. For the price they give a lot of pleasure. I also have a very complete section of Charter Arms firearms, One of every model and caliber. They are made in Shelton, Connecticut where I grew up. Although I am no longer a CT resident (Thank God) I do like the quality ad reliability of Chater Arms. I have lived in the Free State of Florida since my retirement from the US Army.

bought this after about 12 drinks over the holidays. very happy. also purchased an 6.5" to go with my 16" and now i have a collection of these 22s with magnium cylinders too. thought i wanted the shell ejector at first but now i dont.... the little stick works perfect. shoots well enough very fun to play cops and robbers in the house and play shoot em up. i dry fire it all day for fun and practice at home and in the car. grips real nice. finish is economy.... might end up cerakoting it titanium or tungsten... even pondered threading the barrel LOL..... great little guns. glad i ordered two at the same time ( dealers says #2 is free xfer) really wish they would make the frames in brass too.... OK i have 3 now... and i really want a birds head too.... might swap grips but for the cost might as well get another and have 4..... so glad you can buy 22 for 45 a brick again, makes shooting fun.

Bought this barkeep i guess because i did not have one like it in .22 the fit and finish on mine was nice with good bluing on the barrel and cylinder and it seems to function well when shooting and it's a pretty good shooter even with the short barrel. this would make a good snake or tackle box gun. it takes a little longer unloading fired rounds from it with no side shell ejector. a smooth transaction from buds & they delivered it fast to my firearms dealer for pickup. the only complaint i can find is when i unboxed it the gun looked like it had been used & fired and was pretty dirty and after cleaning it up it looked fine but i should have never had to do this with a brand new firearm after just buying it.

Stephen, no Sir. The barrel is too short for CA's taste. Minimum of 3 inches is it and this pistol has a 2 inch barrel. Cheers and stay safe!

So the Ill melting point law states that it can't have a meeting point of less then 800⁰ this pistol is made of Steel with a case hardened finish, which i couldn't find the melting point for.
But the Ill specifically lists heritage arms as not compliant. So no unfortunately it is not legal in Illinois
"Prohibited: Any handgun having a barrel, slide, frame or receiver that has a die casting of zinc alloy or any other nonhomogenous metal, which will melt or deform at a temperature of 800 degrees F or less.
●Prohibited: Cobra, Phoenix Arms, Heritage Arms, Walther rimfire pistols, GSG rimfire pistols, Hi-Point pistols and Jimenez Arms."

Frederick, no Sir it is not. (Single-action revolvers that have at least a 5 round capacity with a barrel length of at least 3inches and an overall length of at least 7½ inches are permitted.) Details under handguns here : https://www.budsgunshop.com/feeds/state_reg/california_restrictions.pdf

Edward, unfortunately it does Sir. Many SAO Revolver makers have gone this route. Cheers and stay safe!
