The Magpul PC BackPacker has a drop-in design compatible with all factory Ruger PC Carbine models offered in 9mm Luger and 40 S&W. Features a unique locking interface to attach the barrel assembly to the stock body when being transported, ergonomic M-LOK-compatible hand guard, water-resistant grip storage compartment and a second compartment in the riser section, optional QD sling mounting capability and MOE SL nonslip rubber butt-pad; compatible with the MOE SL Enhanced Rubber Butt-Pad (MAG349) for an additional 3/8" LOP and enhanced user comfort. Includes interchangeable standard and optic-height cheek risers.

The stock is exactly what I had expected it to be. Both pieces fit straight onto my rifle with no issues, and I haven’t had any issues on the range with it. The clipping together of the two halves of the rifle is flawless, and the magazine in the stock is cooler than I had expected it to be. I can’t say I get much use out of the grip pocket, but I doubt that’s anyone’s main selling point. If you think the product is cool conceptually, then I’d buy it. It will perform fine.

Stock shipped and arrived in a timely manner. Installing was fairly easy in spite of it initially being a tight fit compared to the OEM stock. The fit loosened up after a few take-downs. The mag release was also stiff until continued press and release. Once the fit and mag release was used and a bit looser, everything runs great! This is a half pound lighter than my original stock, has two storage compartments in it, one in the top of the stock, and one in the bottom of the grip. For me, personally it's more ergonomic than the original stock. The fact you can store the top and bottom together with only a pinch and click to separate is a big plus as well. Another winner from Magpul, and Bud's!! A++
