One of the nicest pieces in my collection, well machined with excellent quality and detail throughout, with one exception ! Among all of the intricate engravings the manufacturer had to stamp in block lettering “for black powder use only” and worse yet their company name and “made in Italy” down both sides of the hex barrel! A little more discreet location would have been much better from the esthetics perspective! Again other than that details issue, a very nice piece!

At this moment this is a 1 star review and that is because I have to give it at least 1 star. I received this revolver and immediately opened it. Looking over the gun, I see that the wedge is the first issue, it’s not seated far enough that it will “clip” in the opposite side, which I’ve been told happens sometimes and after some amount of wear it will fit properly (told this by traditions customer service). Another thing is the gunpowder left on the cylinder, inside the cylinder and on/under the hammer. I was told it’s from being test fired which is fine but they could at least clean it entirely since all I’ve ever heard is gun powder is corrosive. Next thing I notice is that the finish is stained/damaged from something. It was packaged in a clear bag with some lubricant in it so that is my guess as to what it is. Called Traditions they said it will come off with some “good gun lube” then when I said I tried that he said to use some polish. So, I’ve used dawn dish liquid, Lucas CLP oil and grease, I’ve also tried renaissance wax and prolix. NOTHING has removed this damage. I’ve not used anything abrasive and I’m not going to either. I shouldn’t have to. All that being said, this is no fault of buds guns who have always been on point. I’m going to seek a refund or exchange at this point and go from there.

Very nice quality on the engravings. Mechanically the gun is sound and I have not had any issues.

Prospective Purchasers.. The pictures you will find of this gun on the web do not do it justice. This gun is beautiful. The engraving is beautiful. It is not hand graved, it is laser engraved but it is awfully nice. The fit and finish is beautiful. Is it perfect? No, but it is damn nice. It is extremely light trigger pull and smoothest of any colt or clone I have ever felt. I am not an expert but I am thoroughly pleased with this purchase. The grips on the other hand leave a little desired. Unless you like white, plain jane handles, you will want to change them. I mean they are okay but that's it.. okay. For the price you can't beat it for what you get. I can't imagine anyone not liking this gun. Hope this helps in making your decision.
