I was excited to get this little pistol, when I did and try to shoot it it was a dismal failure. Failure to feed, failure to fire, failure to extract, needless to say I was disappointed. I read almost everything that other folks wrote about it. Some had no problems at the onset with it. So there was hope at least. i tried to shoot it with various different rounds by different manufacturers, but the problems were consistent. I finally took it down to it's essential components, I stoned all the rough edges around the entry chamber, then the pick up on the slide, as well as the hammer ramp, instead of oil or grease I used metal to metal Moly paste on all contact surfaces, including the magazine ears that hold the cartridge in the magazine. loaded it up with CCI SV and it shot it all 10 rounds without a bobble, From there I tried other rounds that gave me trouble before. I did have failure to feed on some but it was getting better I'll keep working on it until it becomes a reliable pistol.

Solid transaction from Bud's. I have 2 of these and neither one runs. Once I found ammo that they would feed and eject they would lock back as if empty but they weren't. Release the slide and keep shooting. It's a known problem on some of them (naturally both of mine). And they are going back to Ruger. The Ruger forum has some explanation of the cause. Be careful with this one.
