Yes, this will shoot steel shot fine without hurting the barrel. The shot column is contained in a plastic wad and does not touch the barrel as it shoots down the barrel. Hope this helps.

Will this gun also fire 2 3/4" shells as well as the 3" shells. If it does, is there any kind of performance issues using the 2 3/4 " shells?

Martin, yes this will shoot 2 3/4" ammunition as well as 3". There should be no issues as long as you use the recommended ammo stated in the owners manual. For example, some might suggest only using shells that are 1300 fps or greater. Some shotguns are finicky with ammo, so you may have to experiment with different loads until you find what the gun prefers.

Martin, yes Sir. 3 inch Chambered Shotguns will fire 3 inch or shorter shells no issue similar to a .357 Magnum being able to fire .38 Special. I would suggest buying small batches of ammo first to make sure it runs in your shotgun and then stocking up afterwards. Cheers and stay safe!

This AR Style, 12 ga. gas operated semi auto shotgun features a 3 chamber, 19.5 smooth bore barrel, door breacher style muzzle brake, polymer fore end with picatinny rail sections, pistol grip butt stock, rear sight/carry handle, and two 5-shell magazines. The two piece fore end is easily removed for quick and easy access for cleaning. I have not had time to fire this shotgun yet. I did notice that the front sight that is mounted to the front covers moves from side to side. I am sure this will affect the accuracy of this weapon. It seems the quality is about what you could expect for a shotgun at this price point. Lots of plastic on covers and stock. At this time I can only give it 3 stars for fit and quality of materials used to make it.

Absolutely Awesome!! The quality of this shotgun far exceeds what I expected (for the price) Very well made, super smooth bolt on this and the sights are very nice (offering ghost ring AnD dovetail) I'm SO happy with this shotgun, 50rounds of 1oz slugs at the range today and the only problem I had was, I ran out of ammo! A+ for Buds Gun shop for another solid deal! Thank you Buds for all the smiles and great times I've had because of you! 👍🏻👍🏻

So far very disappointed, as always buds never let's you down with great service and delivery was fast. But as far as the TAC-LC it simply would not fire. No matter what I tried nothing, I got one round off and that was a surprise. I was using 2 3/4 1 1/8oz slugs by wolf. My other two pump mossberg shot guns went off with out a hitch. I am currently trying to reach someone from TR imports to return under warranty. I am aware of the 200-300 break in period before using light loads but at this rate, I'll never get there. I would never trust my families life with it, problem not even good enough to plink. Do yourself a favor and stick with the pump action. Never fails!
