Impressive But Initially Fussy The first trip to the range was a challenge because the bolt absolutely wouldn’t cycle until it cooled down (Federal blue box, 180 grain). Before that I had run a BoreSnake through it and lubed the recommended areas with CPL. The second time out, there was no similar issue and it hasn’t reoccurred on multiple additional trips with a variety of commercial loads. The milled-in rail is a great convenience. The combination of the synthetic stock, the generous butt pad and the medium weight barrel make this the most comfortable 300 WM I’ve ever shot. The accutrigger is perfect for a hunting rifle and I can’t imagine a need for anything aftermarket. If it weren’t for my initial experience with the bolt seizing, I’d happily rate this as a 5 star weapon.

Purchased before our annual deer/hog hunt in Alabama.Only straight pull made in the USA, action is very smooth and handles and shots very well 1/2 inch moa after bore sighting in.First time hunting with 300 win mag,always a 30/06 man for 50 years but was curious with the straight pull and a good addition to the collection.Buds price was great and delivery fast to my FFl. A pleasure always to shop Bud's.Peter.
