Brandon, as others have said this has a 50 round magazine Wich is restricted in Colorado and they don't make smaller magazines for this. So you could have buds remove the magazine, they have an option during checkout to remove the magazine. You could probably get a 50 round magazine pinned to 15 rounds but I'd find a gunsmith that will do so before buying the firearm. Sorry but hope this helps.

The pistol itself is not restricted in Colorado, but the 50rd magazine is banned, Colorado has a 15rd capacity limit, and there are no smaller magazines available at this time.

YES, this is LEGAL. While other community members might say that this is illegal, that is true only to Cook County, Arora, and Highland Park who have AWBS (assualt weapon ban laws). Check with your local FFL but you should be fine since Madison county does not have AWB like the three counties listed. So im.not a resident of IL but the way I read the Illinois restrictions are that a greater then 10 round magazine is not permitted, this is only available with a 50 rd magazine. Id check with a local ffl as they will know you specific laws better then we will.

This gun is great fun to shoot, has low felt recoil, and is very accurate. After putting a quick 100 rounds through the gun, I experienced no issues. I would have given it five stars except for the loading problems. To say that brand new KelTec P50 magazines are EXTREMELY hard to load would be a gross understatement! It is absolutely ridiculous! Unless you have thumbs and fingertips made of stone, be prepared for some serious pain that will linger for days. I will say that loading the magazines did get easier the second time and, perhaps, they will be even better as they are used and cycled a few more times. But no new magazines should be so difficult to load, period! Suffice it to say, there was some pretty salty language being used during the more than half hour it took to load just one magazine. While it’s always a good practice to bring pre-loaded magazines to the Range, I would say it’s essential with the P50 mags since trying to load them while there will waste valuable Range time.

P50 Kel Tec 5.7 is a great defense gun. 50 round magazine gives a lot of fun shooting targets. Throw a laser and scope on it for accuracy and you're set.

I have one and it’s my favorite gun. I purchased a second one because having a second one as my other new favorite would be fantastic. It’s been problems since I got it. Fired a single round. Nothing but light primer strikes. Sent it back and they’ve installed new firing mechanism doodads. Received it after repairs and it’s still jamming. Sent it back again. We will see. Confusing reviews? Probably, but I want to be honest.
