This is my second purchase of this pistol, I now have a matching set. I love this pistol it has a beautiful finish and functions perfectly. The service from Bud's was just as you would expect it to be, prompt, courteous, and without any delay.

Since I have not fired the revolver yet I will limit my comments to visual fit and finish: The revolver grip fit is excellent and the grips are evenly colored walnut finished in an even dull oiled surface. The frame is a polished color case hardened appearance and has a good width sight groove, it allows front sight edges to be framed in the groove, the front sight is of what I would call "standard width" as opposed to the very narrow front sight width on some brands. The cylinder, barrel and shroud are a deep polished blue, the grip/trigger housing is a polished blue/black. Overall the pistol is a quality controlled, beautiful example of a Colt SAA clone, made even better with the transfer bar safety system which is a plus in my book, as I have other SAA with original firing pin in hammer and worry somewhat about dropping them loaded. Bottom line: Beautiful, balanced, well done by Pietta, would buy another.

Had a problem with this revolver I did not notice when accepting it from the FFL dealer. The front sight was canted to the right just a bit. Noticeable when I took it out to clean before first use. It is currently at Traditions for warranty repair so I cannot recommend Traditions revolvers at this time.

Let me say first the description is accurate, this gun is a work of art. Picked it up at the shooting range, wiped it off and started firing. You could shoot 38's all day, very little recoil. The 357's obviously kick a lot more but manageable. I chose the 38/357 after checking prices on 45 long colt ammo-sticker shock to say the least. Had no idea till I picked the gun up that it was made by a family company in Italy that specializes in reproductions. Fit and finish are perfect. It is a beautiful gun and very accurate considering the 1873 sights. No buyers remorse here.
