Bought this for my son and we took to range and it will handle 3 inch shells like a champ. My son and put a lot of slugs both 2 3/4 and 3inch down range without a hiccup. The only thing I didn’t care for is where the slide release is, but hey you get used to it. Other than that the Charles Daley is not bad. I’ll give four stars only because of slide release
