Michael, sorry , but Dictator Murphy says the shotgun is more dangerous because it has a pistol grip. Semi-auto shotguns w/pistol grips are prohibited in The People's Republik of NJ. https://www.budsgunshop.com/feeds/state_reg/new_jersey_restrictions.pdf

Sorry but no. A pistol grip on a shotgun is prohibited by NJ, so it's illegal. Hope this helps.
