BRN 1911-380 BLPRO Stainless Steel FLG CMP 3DT - 3.625" Barrel, 8 Rounds, Polymer Grips

I'm a big fan of the 1911 and have only owned 1911 45acp pistols or Sig 9mm . I've always been disappointed in the offerings in 380 caliber either because the pistols were to small or poorly made. 380 may not be a first choice for defense however there are times when I prefer the smaller size for better ability to conceal however found the smaller better made 380's to be way to small. Browning's 85 % scale on this firearm makes it perfect. Easily concealable, yet large enough to actually feel like you have your hand around a firearm. Quality seems right up where you'd expect from the Browning name . I'm generally not a hug fan of polymer however in this case the frame and slide seem exceptionally well made for the caliber. My only disappointment was the guide rod appears to be some sort of plastic or composite. If it works, and I'm sure it does then no big deal but at the price point for this pistol a steel guide rod would have been preferable. I haven't shot this pistol yet but since the better manufacturers seem to be shying away from the 380 caliber, Browning certainly made this a very excellent choice for a carry firearm that in every aspect is identical to a full size 45.
