In 1980, Taurus purchased the Beretta factory in Sao Paulo, Brazil "lock, stock and barrel" and immediately sought to improve on the Beretta design, resulting in the popular and acclaimed Taurus 92 and 99 9mm pistols. Taurus' specially designed drop hammer forged ordnance grade alloy frame won't crack or allow the slide to come off. Other innovations include a three position frame mounted ambidextrous safety, which is more secure than a slide mounted safety, and allows for a classic SA "cocked and locked" mode, as well as functioning as a DA decocking lever. Available in fixed sight model 92 and in adjustable sight model 99, you'll be able to face any situation without compromise.

you seriously don\\\'t need a Beretta 92 this Taurus 92f is perfect for half the price! bud was right on had this come in Christmas eve, great present for me.

The Taurus PT92 is smooth and accurate. I\\\'ve ran about 500 rounds through it without a single hiccup. The weight and size make it feel very good in the hand. Only change I\\\'ve made was with a new set of grips. If you are looking for the \\\'92 style but want to save hundreds, you will find the Taurus to be every bit the equal of its competitor.

What more can I say about the Taurus PT-92 AF than its a great weapon for home defense, duty carry and yes, even CCW. This is by far my favorite firearm in my collection and I probably shoot better with this weapon than any other I have. Purchased this gun around 4 years ago and its performed flawlessly every single time, maybe around 1,000 rounds so far. I bought it because I had always wanted a Beretta 92(blame Martin Riggs and John McClane) but didn\\\'t have that kind of money, then I heard about the Beretta/Taurus story and did some research just to discover that while some think Taurus are not quality guns, most agree the PT-92 is the best gun they make with many feeling the Taurus is every bit as good or maybe even better. \r\n\r\n\r\nIn my opinion, the only flaw with the Taurus is the magazines have a edge that is rough and kind of sharp but not enough to prevent me buying another(plus I think the new PT-92\\\'s have newer updated mags that fixed that issue. Fit and finish isn\\\'t Beretta but not bad considering this gun is between $250-400 less. One area most agree with is the safety/decocker on the Taurus is in a better location(frame much like a 1911) than with the Beretta\\\'s slide mounded one. \r\n\r\n\r\nAll in all, this is one of the best pistols on the market for the money. Customization is a bit more difficult due to availability of aftermarket parts(grips, mags, holsters, etc) but they are out there. If you\\\'ve always wanted a 92F but don\\\'t want to spend the money, give the PT-92 a chance. \r\n

This was my first online purchase from Bud\\\'s. I must say that I was a little hesitant at first! The layaway plan is fantastic, not to mention the whole process of purchasing the firearm and shipping to your preferred FFL was smooth as silk! The Taurus PT92 is a beautiful pistol. I have sm/med size hands and it fits like glove. The action is smooth and the feel of an all metal gun is awesome. Bottom line, it is a good looking pistol that goes bang when you need it to and for however many times you need it to with no hiccups! I am a happy and satisfied customer! Thank you bud\\\'s for the great prices and outstanding customer service!

This is an amazing pistol! The picture does not do it justice. This pistol has a nice dark black parkerized finish and looks JUST LIKE a Beretta- seriously. \\r\\nThe fit, finish and tooling is excellent and disassembly is a breeze. Thanks to Hickok45, I have added yet another handgun to my collection. Watch his video like I did before buying and you\\\\\\\'ll see just how nice a firearm this Taurus PT92 truly is.\\r\\nFYI- These pistols are made in Brazil in a factory that was originally owned by Beretta. Beretta sold the factory and the Beretta 92 blueprints and all the factory machinery to Taurus in 1980 and Taurus basically restarted production of the Beretta 92 under their brand name. Don\\\\\\\'t be fooled-this pistol is exactly like the Beretta with a few differences to note... The manual safety is mounted on the frame (not the slide), the safety has 3 positions: safe, fire and decocker. Note also that the safety is reversed compared to how it works on a Beretta. So if you like 1911\\\\\\\'s like me, or if you plan on using this pistol for CCW, it can be carried in old school \\\\\\\"cocked and locked\\\\\\\" mode. This gun is also about $200 dollars less than a Beretta, which is a huge plus. The mags are 17-rounders (not 15), and this pistol comes with an accessory rail, for mounting a laser or a light. Also, it comes with a steel guide rod -not a polymer one like on the Beretta. Please be aware that Beretta magazines are NOT COMPATIBLE with this firearm. I explain this more later in my review, so keep reading.\\r\\nIn my opinion you can\\\\\\\'t go wrong with this firearm, it is actually better than the Beretta for the reasons and differences I noted above. \\r\\n17 1 capacity for a 9mm is alot of firepower. When I\\\\\\\'m not carrying my 1911 for CCW, I\\\\\\\'ll be carrying this bad boy. \\r\\nThe only negative I can think of is the magazines are not that good, the follower tilts too much on them, so take my advice and get some replacement mags for this pistol made by MecGar, their mags are awesome! Also, DO NOT put Beretta brand mags in this pistol- BERETTA MAGS WILL NOT WORK IN THIS PISTOL. Using Beretta mags in this gun will cause the sear and internals to be tripped causing the gun to fire when the magazine is removed- I heard this from the owner at my local gun shop. So DO NOT use Beretta mags with this Taurus PT92. \\r\\nOther than the mags, this pistol is amazing. Just buy some MecGar mags for the PT92 and you\\\\\\\'re good to go. I have not fired it yet, but I am sure it will work just fine, rounds are tilted slightly upward and angled to feed perfectly into the chamber for amazing reliability- just like on the Beretta. This gun is basically a Beretta with Taurus\\\\\\\'s name on the slide. Thank you very much to the folks at Buds for the amazing lay-away plan, the great prices and amazing product selection. This firearm arrived quickly and in great shape. I am very satisfied with this purchase. Train hard and stay safe everyone. For all your gun-related needs, look no further than Buds.

Great gun, trigger\\\'s not perfect but good enough and the gun just works. I had one malfunction, to tell you the truth, a light primer strike. I like all steel guns, and this one is low recoil. The DA/SA double strike capability took care of that in a hot second! I put Hogue grips on it, some don\\\'t like the sticky feeling, but to me, it makes the gun and your hand one in the same. This is my \\\"bump in the night\\\" gun. Get Mecgar mags with it, they\\\'re awesome!

Great firearm if you’re into berettas but don’t want to pay twice the price for one. I actually like the safety better than the beretta and haven’t had any issues with about 500 rounds through it. Very accurate out of the box which is good because the sights are fixed. Would recommend the firearm and Buds is the best price and quickest to ship.

Robert, Buds usually does not open/alter new firearms packages including Magazines. I have heard from members that some Customer Service Reps have offered this so I would contact Buds to see whether they will or not at 1-859-368-0371 9am-9pm EST Mon-Fri. or use the Blue Chat now button at the bottom right corner 9am to 9pm Mon - Sat and 9am to 7pm Sunday.
