Hi Jonathon, the G40 is rated for +P ammo. from the Glock FAQ - "We recommend using ammunition that is manufactured and meets SAAMI or other industry standards, and while some +P ammunition meets these guidelines, +P+ usually does not. This ammunition may generate a higher pressure than standard ammunition, which could shorten the life of the parts of your firearm." Stay safe & have a great day!

yes you can but it is not recommended by Glock just clean any leading out of the barrel after range trips

The G40 Gen4 in the MOS Configuration is chambered in 10mm and combines a full 6-inch barrel for an improved velocity with a magazine capacity of 15 rounds. The G40 Gen4 in MOS configuration is a powerful yet easily carried pistol; perfect for the outdoorsperson, hunter and sport shooter. It is designed to give the handgun hunter the ultimate choice in semi-automatic gaming pistol and has proven to be more than capable of taking down game such as Whitetail Deer, Russian Boar and even Feral Hogs. Glock engineers have developed the Glock Modular Optic System (MOS) to simplify mounting of popular optics without costly custom machining of the pistol's slide. The MOS is offered with cover plate when no optic is mounted and four plates options to comply with the specifications of some of the most trusted optic manufacturers in the industry. Buds was a pleasure to work with. I put this handgun on layaway and paid it off in chunks instead of all at once. Once paid, the shipping was fast and reliable. Having three magazines standard was a plus. This was purchased to dispatch wounded deer and boy is it a lot of handgun. I absolutely love it. It's not going to win a beauty contest as is often said of Glocks, John Wick may not carry it, but hunters all over Alaska and other parts of the U.S. have these for good reason. If you are thinking about pulling the trigger, I say go for it. This is among the most reliable autoloading sidearms you can get.

Awesome pistol. Got several Glocks but this is the ultimate Glock pistol for home defense in my opinion. Gonna hunt with this hog-leg too. Great accuracy and Glock reliability too.

Large handgun that packs a wallop at a very reasonable recoil. I bought this for archery season in case I run into another black bear. With this caliber handgun I know if needed it will do the job. Easy to control, trigger safety for safe and quick shots. For me, the muzzle recoil is easily manageable.

As I anticipated, which is why one purchases a Glock; but with an unexpected bonus! This pistol is a tool. Not going to win any beauty contest. It comes with two Modular Back Strap System pieces which give it a deeper grip with an enhanced beaver tail. After installing the medium one I was surprised to find that it substantially improved my grip. Now it feels like it was worth the money right out of the gate! I can enjoy it more without having to tell myself over and over, "you bought this for the reliability and aftermarket stuff".

finally pulled the trigger on one of these Model 40’s. Really happy with the weapon overall. It’s like any other Glock, just bigger. Cleaning is nice and easy. Mags and aftermarket parts are abundant. I’ve put one box of freedom munitions 180 FMJ rounds through it without a hiccup. Threw in a few grizzly hollow points as well with no issues there. I find the gen 4 seems to have less felt recoil over the gen 3 models which I can only attribute to the dual recoil spring since everything else is relatively similar. I love the longer barrel and the factory sights shoot just fine for me. There are many different 10mm handguns on the market now. I still find that Glocks work well for me. No issues with the gun and buds shipped quickly as always. If you are a Glock fan you will be very happy with this weapon. My motto is buy once and cry once and I’m no longer crying.
