The Python features modern stainless steel alloys and a re-designed rear sight. Thirty percent more steel beneath the rear adjustable target sight gives you a stronger revolver and more robust shooting experience. A recessed target crown, user-interchangeable front sight, and Walnut grip with the iconic Colt medallion make this a gun you'll want to shoot AND show off. The Python is chambered in .357 Magnum and also accommodates 38 Special cartridges.

What can I say, it is a python! Looked great and carried well with holster I got from Steel Hide. Yes, you should buy one.

This 3 inch Colt Python is beautifully made, fit and finish are amazing. I am going to replace the grips to fit my hand, no big deal there! What is concerning to me is the rear sight! The rear sight on both Pythons I just bought fell apart after 25 rounds through each gun! I cannot for the life of me understand why Colt would put so much time and money and effort into the development of this fine gun, and then put a trash sight on it! New Wilson sights for both guns are on the way! Overall very very happy with these fine guns!

Fabulous piece of art that is also happens to be a revolver. Seems as attention to every detail was taken by Colt and it should be for this cost! This is my second Colt and they are tough and reliable.
