I am not happy at all with the trigger guard hand rest attached to the Rifle, Can this be removed, or is this part of the California Compliant Regulation?

It’s about time I pulled the trigger on an AR. This gun has brought me hours of joy and peace and patience. I’m gonna start saving my brass and figure out a way around the costly taxes. The California offers me as I exercise my second amendment rights.
