The New Century Arms BFT47 is an American built AK with a thicker bulged RPK style receiver and trunnion. This model is chambered in the iconic 7.62x39mm cartridge and the 16" barrel is made from 4150 chrome moly steel. The barrel is threaded 14x1 left hand and with an enhanced safety selector, enlarged magazine release and scope rail you have all the upgrades someone would want to have on a factory built rifle. Don't buy a second hand rifle, or a rifle built from second hand parts get yourself a brand new BFT47.

First time purchaser from Buds and am very impressed with the way my order was expedited. Easy on-line purchase and a great price for the Century Arms BFT AK-47. Delayed delivery due to snow and ice but Buds kept me updated and it arrived within a few days. Local gun store Wrenco Arms did my background check and I was on my way. First thing I did was to strip and refinish the furniture, added some scuffs and gouges, sealed with tung oil, now it looks the part ! Thank you Buds! Will be sure to purchase from you again, ��

Firearm is well built with quality parts. Heavier than standard AK due to beefier parts . Still testing but shoots extremely well for the platform. Only negative is safety is very tight but not uncommon or big problem. Very impressed overall.

I completely agree with what has been said. I have owned many ak47 style rifles and this Century model R14317-N is one of the best. The fit and finish is excellent. 1.5mm receiver and trunion are great on a stamped rifle. The bolt and carrier are much better compared to a Romanian rifle with a much smaller lug on he bolt. The machining on the bolt and carrier is very good. People brag about many of these old soviet block nation rifles but I only compare a Yugo/Serbian M-70 to this new completely USA made (NO surplus/used parts) Century rifle. If you love AK's buy this one, while you still can, from Century Arms, as close as you can get to original in todays world. My only complaint is NO metal butt plate with hole and cleaning kit in stock.
