Original Old West Single-Action Look, Size and Feel. Since its introduction in 1993, the Ruger Vaquero® has dominated the cowboy action shooting world and earned its reputation for rugged reliability due to its strength and mechanical superiority. It is often referred to as "the gun that won the New West" because of its widespread popularity among single-action shooters and cowboy action competitors.
The Ruger Vaquero combines the original Old West single-action look and feel with new features. The mid-size steel frame and cylinder are scaled-down to the same size as the original 1955 Ruger Blackhawk®, closely resembling the classic single-action revolvers of the late 1800's.

Took a little longer for the Buds store to get it, but once received, the purchase eas smooth as silk . The staff was very professional The gun? What can I say. It’s a Ruger. Fit abd finish was totally up to Ruger expectations. Operation is smooth and the trigger is crisp. In short, I love it.

This was my purchase from buds it has a chip on the bottom of grip like it had been dropped and the cylinder has a scratch line around the whole cylinder. The grip chip was not noticed when I inspected the gun but scratch line was I was told they are all like that unsure about that but I doubt it. Love the gun tho but hesitant to buy my next purchase of a standard manufactured saa at $2000. Love Buds you guys are the best never had a issue with any other purchase I’ve made or family has made just disappointed to have to purchase new grips.

The Vaquero single shot pistol is without a doubt the best revolver I've ever owned. I did change out the hammer, because I wanted a fatter tab for my thumb (just personal preference). Fun to shoot and very accurate!

Very solid gun. No flaws in construction that I can see. This is my first cowboy revolver and I wasn't sure how accurate it would be, but I was pleasantly surprised. Very easy to aim and shoot. This is a great gun to enjoy the fun of shooting. I smile every time I use it.

Good guns, I bought them for SASS and they fit the bill. Triggers are only average, but I don't find it to a deterrent to accuracy. Most importantly they shoot to point of aim with higher velocity ammo. Plenty of height to the front sight if you wish to file some off to adjust the elevation for lower power loads. I'm only giving 4 stars due initial quality of the trigger pull which is not as good as those on less expensive Uberti pistols I own.

Love the two Vaqueros! Only put abour 50 rounds apiece through them so far. Bud’s is s joy to work with.

Bud's delivered very quickly. The Vaquero delivers too. Shooting 38's is totally painless. And very accurate too. The 5.5" barrel feels and shoots better than the 4.62" gun I also have. This gun is ideal for cowboy shooting. Bud's and Ruger made me a happy camper.
