Five Stars. I had a Norinco. This is a cut above that. Fit and Finish are excellent. Fired Flawlessly. For the money, it’s above the pack. Highly recommended, and no regrets. I plan to buy more Pioneer Products in the future.

I’ve owned this gun for awhile now but just got a chance to shoot it. It has a side rail mounted on the left side of the receiver which I installed a quick release scope mount on and topped it with a SIG red-dot sight. The UTG scope mount went on very snug. I have two of these scope mounts and regardless of which one I tried both needed to be slid on the mount with plenty of oil and a rubber mallet. It was very snug. The tightening screw on the mount was completely loosened but it still went on with some difficulty. The mount will definitely not move around. The gun is made in Poland by RADOM. The gun is very nicely made with a very nice laminated stock set with a matte orange pistol grip. It doesn’t have a bayonet lug. I, unfortunately, realized it after getting several different AK bayonets. I have a bayonet collection so they’ll just be added to the collection. The gas block would need to be replaced that has a bayonet lug on it, which won’t be easy to replace as it’s pinned on the barrel with two pins. It’s not important though. It has a standard threaded muzzle deflector on it that can be easily removed. The bolt does stay open either on its own or the safety lever has a notch in it to lock the bolt carrier back. If the safety lever isn’t used the bolt does stay back but can slam forward if the gun is jarred enough. The bolt doesn’t stay back after the last round unless you use a Serbian type magazine with a bolt hold-open follower on it. I have some of these magazines but didn’t try it out on the range that day. The gun does take Bulgarian plastic/composite magazines which my FEG Hungarian AK doesn’t. There is some differences in the magazine well on this Polish AK compared to my Hungarian AMD-65 AK. The Bulgarian magazines work well but sometimes they’re a little finicky to lock into place compared to Magpul or standard metal AK mags. The gun does have a compartment in the buttstock for a metal cleaning kit. The cleaning kit doesn’t come with the gun. The factory supplied magazine is made in Poland but I found that many different magazines can be used. Tapco, Magpul, European, Bulgarian, and Asian magazines all work in this AK. It had a nice RADOM crest on the gun and the numbers on the rear sight are highlighted in white. It functioned perfectly with no jams. I can’t comment on the accuracy because I was sighting in the red-dot sight at 50 yards and it started raining and the wind really got strong but it shot very well. It’s a very nicely made, high quality AK. I’ve owned several different AK’s over the decades and this is the best one of of them all. I’m definitely going to keep this AK. I have Wolf steel-cased ammo and brass cased ammo but only tried the steel cased Wolf ammo so far. The Wolf ammo I found to be reliable but not very accurate. It’s inexpensive, plinking ammo. I need to take it out to the range again and try some better quality ammo in it to get a better idea of the accuracy of the gun.

Ordered this sporter in all black, but received one in maple finish. Condition of the weapon is good, so I'll keep it to avoid the hassles of returning it and paying more.
