The whole process with Bud's Guns has been awesome! I live in New York State, so I was pretty skeptical that I would be able to purchase a gun online. The entire process was so simple, I had the gun at my FFL within seven days of purchase! I cannot say enough good things about this company. I plan to purchase another gun soon. Now: the gun. Ran great, comfortable in the hand, the free bag and extra mags promo was cool, the trigger was awful. Just awful. Takeup is long (expected on a carry gun) but the break requires an additional 2-3 mm of full weight pull (9 pounds!) before it actually fires. I put an 18 inch target at 7 yards and the pull was so bad the shots weren't even on the paper. I inspected the gun and found nothing obviously wrong, so I used a Mantis X set to dry fire to see what was going on. It said I was too fast on the trigger, though I was being deliberately slow. Tested again with the Mantis X on live fire and over 100 rd I brought the POI from 12in low left to about 2in low left. After reading reviews and seeing that a ot of people have similar problems with the Hellcat, I swapped in an Apex trigger. Now I'm on target at 7 yards and 3-4 inches low left at 15 yards with a 5 pound pull, but I still don't like the way the factory part of the trigger assembly works. My other Springfields do not have this problem and I don't know why this one does. I will not carry it as a primary without a lot more practice with it, if ever.
