Picatinny adapter converts the 3/8" factory groove to accommodate red dot optics. Previous production or 1st gen Brass Big Boy guns were drilled and tapped on the barrel under the rear sight, they were NOT drilled/tapped on the receiver. You will need to use BB-CSM for 1st gen H006 Brass Big Boy series. In 2011 we began shipping 2nd generation Brass Big Boy rifles which feature receivers that are drilled and tapped for the scope mount.

These mounts are well-finished and look good when installed. Had my doubts at first as I was putting them on as I felt they were quite loose. I was expecting more of a friction fit but these were almost ‘wobbly’. Put them on and snugged down all 6 of the retaining set screws to the specified 5 inch-pounds of torque. It’s been over a month now and they haven’t moved or loosened at all! Granted they are only on 22LR rifles, but I believe they will perform satisfactorily for years ars to come.

This offers many more options to put an optic on a lever action rifle with 3/8 dovetail grooves.slip on tighten screws mount optic.zero done.
