Unfortunately, I have to say that I am a little disappointed with purchasing this rifle. For starters, it only comes with one magazine, and it is not a Zastava steel magazine, it was a cheap Magul P mag that didn't seem to want to fit and properly lock into the rifle. The rifle, including the wood, was covered in some grimy stuff that I had to spend 30 minutes trying to clean off. Both the bolt and the safety are extremely difficult to use, and I consider myself a strong guy. Hopefully they will get better with time. Because the P mag was not fitting great, I ordered two "new" Zastava steel magazines from their website for $25 a piece. When they came, they were scratched up, covered in filth, and appeared to be used. In my opinion, this is a $500-$600 rifle, not a $1,100 rifle. Had the rifle been priced significantly lower, I might have been ok with the imperfections, but for an $1,100 rifle, I expected more. I have bought ARs for under $500 that were in better condition on delivery. Maybe a few good trips to the range will make me feel better about this purchase, but as of right now, I am definitely having some buyer's remorse.

Excellent quality! Everything is straight. No canted gas block. Everything is flawless. Very good quality rifle. And buds service is second to none. I ordered my rifle on a Wednesday evening and it arrived at my ffl Friday morning.

I'm always amazed at how easy and fast it is to acquire a firearm from Bud's. The Zastava M70 is a fun and accurate firearm to shoot. It is very well built and the fit and finish is wonderful. It shot very well straight out of the box.

This is a great rifle with with a great fit and finish. The Serbian Red makes for very handsome furniture. No canted sights. Rivets are well done. Gun came sighted in from the factory. I'm very happy with the purchase.

Great AK in Serbian red. The furniture is beautiful. The fit and finish is outstanding. This AK runs flawless. Buds had it at a great price and the shipping speed was outstanding. I ordered it early morning and received it the next day at my local FFL. Buds gun shop is definitely the go to gun store.

    Hi Jud and welcome. Extra metal for the stamped sheet metal. Usually, stamped AKMs are 1mm, bugged trunnions tend to be 1.5mm for extra rigidity and strength where the cartridges are being fired. It was mainly used in the RPK but has seen more popularity for AKs due to that rigidity. Cheers and stay safe!
