The accuracy and action are perfectly fine. I certainly don’t see any reason to question the reliability of the gun. The reason I only give it 3 stars is because the build quality and fit & finish don’t come anywhere near that of JM stamped Marlins. If you can find a JM stamped guide gun in good condition I would definitely go that route…if you can find one at a decent price that is.

Great gun. Its a Remlin but doesnt have any of the problems others have had. Only complaint might be that the load gate is very stiff but that would be nitpicking. I paid $509 and I doubt you will ever get one close to that price again, the Rugers are gonna be more than that and the old JM marked Marlins are probably sky high. Great transaction with Buds, never have had any complaints with them

You get want you are looking for with this rifle. No issues and shoots great and accurate.

Sorry it took sooooo long to write this review, but love this lever action rifle. It balances well in my hand. The action is very smooth and I once I added my scout scope on it, i'm able to dial in on my targets even better with my aging eyes.

Great gun, smooth action and quite accurate with the heaviest of loads. Would buy again.

It is very nice guide gun and the short length makes it easy to carry with you. I love the large loop lever for my big hands. It is well designed and works well. Some rifle brands have a large loop lever that are poorly shaped by starting out too small then opening wide but those fit my hand poorly, but this one works well. I love the power of the 45-70 because it is more like a push rather than a jab, so while it has an abundance of power it doesn't hurt.

First off Great Job Buds as always !! Next the 45/70 GBL. This is the second guide gun I’ve owned. This particular rifle the fit and finish are good. The sights are HORRIBLE !!! Every time I pull the trigger the rear buckhorn sight flips down with the recoil . The front sight it just junk as well. It would move right to left 1/4” easily. How it didn’t fall totally off I still don’t know. I replace both front and rear sights with a set of Skinner sights and all is now good to go for my bear hunt. So just be aware having to replace the sights before you purchase the rifle. Yes I could have sent it back in and had the sights fixed but in the long run I’m a lot happier with the Skinner sights rather than fixing Junk. The elevation adjustment on the buckhorn is just a piece plastic that looks like it came off of one of the kids nerf guns. For the price of this lever action they should really replace the sights. But it is a fine shooter
