I like this rifle but I am having a lot of problems with magazine feed. I have dented/bent several 22lr trying to load a round. Ended up having to load by hand like an old single shot rifle. Suggestions? Thanks.

Hi Perry and welcome. I would try a different magazine and see if you have the same issue. Also try different ammunition and see if it is the same for all or a select few. If neither pans out, a Service call to Legacy / Howa may be in order. Cheers and stay safe!

Per the MFG's catalog https://www.legacysports.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/2023-LSI-Catalog-1.pdf , internal page 34/pdf reader page 35 (since it includes the cover) the Trakr bolt action in 22LR is not threaded at all. Only the 22mag and 17hmr variants are threaded.

Last year I bought the TRAKR .22 WMR bolt action rifle and had to go through hoops to get a muzzle adapter before I could get a sound forward muzzle break to fit. The thread pattern was not 1/2x28 TPI. It was metric pattern. There may be a difference between 22 long rifle and 22 Magnum models?

great little plinker! Didn't touch the sights ,out of the box hit 4 inch steel at 35 yards with CCI SV.

Accurate right out of the box. Light and small enough to be a great gun for walking through the woods. I wanted a bolt action for using CCI Quiet rounds. It's not much louder than my Gamo pellet rifle.
