The Ruger MAX-9 pistol has all the features of a full-sized handgun in a compact size that is comfortable for everyday carry. Chambered in 9mm Luger, the Ruger MAX-9 has an impressive 12+1 capacity. This new model is paired with a factory-mounted, cowitnessed Ruger ReadyDot micro reflex sight that allows the shooter to keep both eyes open, focus on the target, and maintain depth perception when engaging targets at various distances. The ultra-reliable Ruger ReadyDot uses the light-gathering properties of fiber optics, giving the user an optic that is self-adjusting for brightness and never needs a battery.

Just got back from the range after firing my new Ruger Max-9 with Ruger's innovative Red Dot sight for the first time. I held off on the review until I put rounds on target. The range I went to doesn't let you rapid-fire, but I shot off 216 rounds moderately paced then another 60 at almost rapid-fire pace. Mixed 2 different types of ammo--no problem, zero misfires. The red dot is bigger than I'm used to but it is not too big--and it is easy to find. Every single time I pulled the trigger the gun went bang and my shots grouped very nice for the rate of fire I subjected it to. Not a single hitch. Reliable is mandatory in my opinion. This is going to be my carry gun. My eyes are not what they used to be, and hence...the red dot is now my friend. Love this gun. And a red dot with no fuss about batteries is pretty cool too. And it does co-witness with a nice iron sight system enhanced by fiber optics and tritium! Price was un-beatable and Buds took care of me--again. Great value. Ruger rocks it and so does Bud's.

Big Thanks to Buds! I bought the Ruger Max9 based only on their reviews at the time of my purchase. The Max9 fits perfectly in my grip with the included mag adapter on the 10 round mag. A bonus 12 round mag also included! I now have a successful 70 rounds through this firearm. The action was flawless at the range leaving me wanting to feed it more and more rounds. Ruger came through on this compact firearm. It fits in the small of the back and tucked in under the shirt with quick access. Thank you Bud's! Well Done
