Ruger is proud to announce the reintroduction of the Marlin Model 1894 Classic chambered in .44 Rem Mag. The Model 1894 Classic features the traditional characteristics that made this a truly iconic rifle. Richly blued and featuring a square finger lever, this alloy steel rifle is equipped with a 20.25" cold hammer-forged barrel and a beautifully-finished American black walnut straight stock and forend. The tubular magazine features a loading gate located on the receiver and will accept 10 rounds of 44 Rem Mag or 11 rounds of 44 Spl ammunition.

Looked at the Henry , S&W and the Ruger Made Marlin 1894 .44 Magnum trying to decide which one I wanted. After much consideration I chose the Marlin and I’m thrilled with it. Its classic looks, fit and finish and classic design sold me. All my guns are generic shooters and are used as tools. The 1894 is on another level, it is one of the most beautiful rifles I’ve ever handled. I waited 5 months before finding one at Buds. I was going to buy one 30 years ago but priorities stopped me. Buds had it to my FFL in 4 days, great outfit. I haven’t shot it yet and can’t wait until Deer/ Bear season, thank you Buds!

Ruger has done an excellent job with the classic line of rifles. IMO they are better than the remains and also the post safety JM marlins. Don’t hesitate if you can’t decide. This is a well built rifle.

I was finally able to shoot this rifle today. I am very surprised by the accuracy of the rifle off the bench keeping roughly a 2 MOA grouping with iron sights. The fit and finish was beyond what I would normally expect from a Ruger made rifle. I am very happy with this rifle. It will be my Michigan deer rifle this coming season.

Absolutely five stars, took it out to the range today and it performed flawlessly. Accuracy was good right out of the box. I was only shooting steel out to 100 yds or so but right on target every time. What really impressed was the fit and finish. Beautiful bluing and I don't know if I just got lucky but the wood on mine has phenomenal figure. Wholeheartedly recommend this new Ruger/Marlin version.

This 44 mag was the third new Ruger Marlin I’ve purchased. The fit and finish of wood to metal is even better than the guide gun and the guide gun is pretty darn good. It is light and quick to the shoulder.

Very excited that Ruger is carrying on the Marlin name. My unit's action is smooth and it is super accurate in 44 Magnum.

    Michael, no sir, this is good to go. A tubular magazine is exempt from the 10rd limit. See 'C' below -
    Magazines are limited to ten (10) rounds.
    Exemptions:
    A. An ammunition-feeding device that has been permanently altered so that it cannot
    accommodate more than 10 rounds of ammunition;
    B. A .22 caliber tubular ammunition-feeding device; or
    C. A tubular magazine that is contained in a lever-action firearm.

    Yes, this models receiver is Drilled & Tapped to accept a scope mount. As suggested, I would also utilize a piccatinny rail mount for a broader range of optic/scope choices.
