Taurus tx 22 compact review Well it's a Taurus, after purchase cleaned the firearm and saw aluminum shavings as i took the barrel out. After closer inspection their was a metal bure where small thread protector and barrel meet. Apparently when they test fired the gun it dugout the metal in the the slide yeah lol. I took a diamond file and fixed the barrel. Now the next problem every clip or so the gun short strokes and with cci mini mags which work fine with every other 22lr i have. So very poor quality control another junk Taurus will be my last as well.

Love this little 22. It is reliable and a awesome shooter. These are in my opinion the best 22 on the market. Won't be disappointed with this 22.

All the research has paid off and I'm indecisive as they come. Awesome packaging and so far an awesome product. First firearm purchase and ever and more to come. 5 stars for the product. Note: If you can, opt for retail pricing as waiting for that check to clear really hampered my experience in regards to the overall time expectancy for shipment to actually occur. If you must, do so on a Monday. Even then, expect at least a weeks wait before shipping. Buds makes it clear from the get go and automated comms per the progress from purchase to delivery is absolutely top tier in my mind. 5 stars for the experience. Thanks Buds!

I absolutely LOVE this pistol! I initially put off purchasing a TX22 in order to buy a few other "higher quality" brand 22 pistols, and this Taurus is far superior to any of them in both reliability and accuracy...And by a wide margin. After an initial cleaning and mounting a Swampfox Sentinel, I've put around 600 rounds of various bulk ammunition trough it thus far, with one single failure to load on the 2nd round of both magazine's, and that's it...Everything else has fed and ejected flawlessly ever since. Disassembly for cleaning is almost effortless as well, and can be accomplished in just a few seconds...Just a wonderful little pistol, that's a joy to own and shoot, that I very highly recommend. I also received some outstanding service from Bud's to boot!

    Hi Dave and welcome. This model has a 1/2x28 Threaded Barrel. This is still IL legal. The Illinois Assault Weapons ban does not ban handguns with threaded barrels, just handguns with muzzle devices attached to said threaded barrel.
