Girsan MC1911 Untouchable, 9mm, 3.4" Barrel, Black Serrated Steel Slide, Stainless Frame, 7 rounds - 7+1 Rounds | 3.4" Barrel

I recently had the chance to put the MC1911 Untouchable (3.4” barrel, 9mm) through its paces, and here’s how it performed with a variety of bullet weights. I tested four different loads: 90gr, 135gr, 147gr, and 165gr. The pistol ran flawlessly with the 90gr and 135gr rounds—no malfunctions, crisp cycling, and a snappy feel. The 147gr felt a bit sluggish, though it only resulted in a single malfunction. The 165gr rounds, however, didn’t have enough power to reliably cycle the action—something to keep in mind if you're thinking of going heavy. The 3-dot sights are clean and easy to pick up. With the 90gr ammo, I noticed I had to aim slightly higher to stay on target. At around 7 yards, the short barrel covers most of your point of aim, so it's important to know how your chosen load aligns with the sights. While I didn’t have 115gr or 124gr on hand during testing, it’s worth noting that those weights are most commonly used in factory-sighted 9mm pistols. Given how the lighter and heavier loads performed, I’d expect 115gr and 124gr to be the sweet spot for both reliable cycling and proper point-of-aim alignment. Personally I really enjoyed shooting this firearm. It's exactly what I've been looking for in a conceal carry option for a while. My personal experience with micro/compact polymer's made me question the long term reliability on those platforms.

This is my second Girsan Untouchable in 9mm. My first was a 4.4" barrel. For the money these are a great 1911. These are steal frame guns and with 9mm they have very easy recoil. As an older shooter with some arthritis, these are perfect. First time out both hit point of aim. Trigger on the first gun was a little stiff, but an easy fix by adjusting the springs in the grip (YouTube is your friend). This 3.4 will be in my EDC rotation. If you are on the fence, don't be. Nice gun ...less money at Jay's or ky guns

I have been a fan of 1911s for over 50 years. This was a company I had never purchased before and I could not be more pleased with my new untouchable. You can’t beat the price for a 1911 the fit and finish is as good as anything you’ll get without going to custom-made. So far it has been reliable. And I can’t say enough about buds. I’ve been doing business with them for a long time.
