  Bersa makes quality firearms, so in that sense yes it is a good gun. But in my opinion your better off with a 9mm. There are several in this same price range (and even some of similar small size if concealed carry is what your getting it for.)
  9mm has better ammo availability, and much better stopping power, and alot of 9mm handguns are even less "snappy" and easier to do quicker fillow uo shots/transitions then most 380's
  Me personally id rather roll with a Ruger, Canick, Taurus, or there are even some Beretta models in this price range.
  If you have a range near you that rents pistols, id go shoot a Taurus G3, G2, or a GX4, a Canick TP9, Ruger american or security 9, or Max 9, or even a Beretta APX, along side a few 380's.
  All of those are going to be high quality pistols in that same range with better stopping power, more controllable, and overall better guns in my opinion.
  Good luck in whatever you with, and just remember training to be good with what you have is the most important thing.

• Q: Hello I recently just purchased this pistol and I had a question if it was +P rated and does it handle hollow points well? Does it jam up due to them?

  The bersa 380 isn't really meant for shooting +p ammunition. I was reading forums and some people said they contacted bersa to see if it could shoot +p and bersas response was yes, limited amounts of +p ammunition is fine but try to limit the use of +p ammunition because it can wear parts quicker than standard velocity/pressure ammo. So if you want to shoot a couple rounds to see if a certain self defense round cycles fine I'd say go for it but I wouldn't be putting hundreds of +p rounds threw it just for fun. As for hollow points yes it will cycle hollow points just fine, but as with any pistol you may find a brand or two it just doesn't like for some reason. So I highly recommend you test your defense ammo for reliability before hand. Hope this helps.
