Have a couple of the TISA 1911A1 Stakeout in 38 Super/9 mm. I have only shot them in the 38 super configuration. They shoot like laser beams but I the ammo has to be on the hotter side to cycle. The finish is beautiful. I have to ay that TISAS has become the go to for inexpensive, reliable, well built firearms; the Stakeout is no exception.

I have only shot my Steakeout once and it was with the 9mm barrel installed. There were no failures and I found the pistol to be accurate and soft shooting. Fit and finish is excellent, as good as or better than my Ruger 1911. It is a beautiful thing, the matte nickel again much prettier than the SS Ruger. This is even more so because the left side of the pistol has no stampings at all. It is amazing what you get for the price and I am looking at getting a DS Tisas too.

Tisas 1911A1 Stakeout 38 Super Semi Auto Pistol w/ 9mm Barrel This pistol is as nice as the other reviews say it is in every way! Tight pre lubed action, nice trigger, fitted well, flawless nickle finish. Dead on 200rds right out of the nice carry case.

Quality made firearm. It is highly comparable to my Colt 1911 and Kimber Custom 2. I am using the gun with the Super 38 Barrell. For less than $500 it is well worth the price and is on the same quality and build level as the firearms I paid over a $1000 for. May buy another 1.

Firearm feels solid, finish is perfect and it feels great in the hand. The magazines are difficult to load and the extreme tension causes some ramp issues. I have been limiting magazine loads to 5 rounds to allow a steady feed. I have experienced another issue mentioned by another reviewer who stated- "failure to load on multiple super 38 rounds. frustrating. slide gets stuck and need to push it forward. might need to go back could be an issue with the super 38 barrel". I have taken the firearm to the range three times and run over 150 rounds through it with the 38 Super barrel. I have the same slide issue getting stuck during every magazine. I ordered new aftermarket magazines to see if this will help at all.

I’m really happy with my Tisas 1911 Stakeout in 9mm and .38 Super. The finish is really pleasing, and the pistol feels nice and tight – no rattles at all. The build quality is solid, and I’ve had great reliability with it. I love that 9mm is so economical to shoot, plus it’s fun to shoot .38 Super as well. For the price, this is an excellent product, and I definitely recommend it to others looking for a great deal on a quality pistol!
