Taurus TX22 Gen 2 .22 LR Semi Auto Pistol - 22+1 Rounds, 4.60" Barrel, Polymer Grips, Blue/Black, Adjustable Sights

I wanted a high capacity plinker toy. I read several reviews and the Taurus TX22 Gen 2 fit my desires without spending a lot of money. Takedown for initial cleaning was different but really simple. Shoots well and kinda looks cool!

I bought the gen II TX22 after watching YouTube videos and seeing how reliable the gun was being for the reviewers. I have only a couple hundred rounds of ammo through it so far. On my second outing the gun started printing really high so I had to change my sight picture. I had to tap the back of the slide to get it to close a few times. After shooting I broke the gun down to clean like the trip before. I ran the brush through from the chamber end. The brush came through the front but the rod wouldn’t make it. I looked through the barrel and there were no visible rifling. I got my pick out and started pulling strips of lead out of the rifling. I ran the brush through with more solvent a LOT more and finally got the rod to come through the barrel. I need to try a different brand of ammo to see how it does. Before the fouling the gun was amazing. I was having a blast shooting some self healing targets and rolling them out to 100’ away. I like the gun so much I bought 7 more mags and got the three free from Taurus plus the two that came with the gun for a total of 12 mags.
