Cimarron's 1887 Lever Action shotgun is a copy of the venerable 1887.
This is the lever gun that helped establish the repeating shotgun.
Introduced in the West in spring 1888, this 5-shot smoothbore quickly
became a success and saw fair usage during the latter years of the
frontier. With nearly 64,000 of them made before 1899, the gun was
carried by Arizona Sheriff John Slaughter, and the Denver & Rio
Grande Railroad issued '87s to its messengers. Cimarron designed the gun
using an original 1887 shotgun. The shotgun features a 20" blued
barrel, 2-3/4" chamber, and the iconic look and feel of the original.

Wonderful vintage style shotgun with the look and feel of something right out of the old West. It's a dream to shoot and performs well. It did have issues ejecting one or two spent cartridges at first but as I got more used to really hammering the lever back it stopped being an issue.

The fit an finish is great, with one exception, there's a small crack in the right hand guard. Other than that, definitely was a great buy. Thanks buds.

I had read all the reviews before purchasing. This is my first shotgun, and I was a bit nervous as I thought they may kick super hard and mess up my shoulder (childhood thing, I'm not a pansy just skeptical). Saw a review saying this thing kicks like a mule, made me nervous, but bought anyways because it was highly suggested to me by professionals for my wants. Safe to say, no regrets, thing barely kicks, none of my shotguns really phase me, which is great! If you are even thinking about this, just buy it. It is a fantastic shotgun, put 50 rounds through it first trip to the range with no issues, a very pleasant first experience. Ignore all other reviews and just judge based off of this one, it is worth every penny. My buddies love this shotgun as well.

Well built, tight fit, It’s solid. I shot about 75rds the 1st time out. Slugs & buck, 7 different brands I’ve collected over the years. Some rolled, some folded. All cycled well. 4 or 5 hiccups, user era I believe, maybe not. Either way I had a great time. Couldn’t help but laugh. It’s a heavier gun, soaks up recoil. All screws secured, all worked well after a hard and heavy 1st day out.

Loads smooth once you get the hang of it. No feed issues, no ejection issues. Mine sometimes is a bit sticky with inital extraction with Fiocchi shells only. If your thinking of getting one do so while you can because this is a great replica thats super fun and it works!

I saw this on Buds website and had to have it. It's a great lever action shotgun. I always get a lot of comments on it. It's a hoot to shoot.

Saw the 1887 Winchester 12ga. Shotgun by Cimarron on Bud’s website and ordered it. Customer service was excellent and upon receipt of my LGS’s FFL it shipped the next day. Price was right and product arrived via UPS in great shape. Gun is well made, ruggedly built and shoots pleasingly tight patterns with buckshot and birdshot from the modified choke 20” barrel. Can’t say enough about how nice the Bud’s staff is and how helpful they were on this, my first order. I highly recommend Bud’sGun Shop for any online transactions you need to do.

The gun fired well out of the box. Viewed several videos online about the gun and they were very helpful since I had never fired a shotgun like this. Took it to the range and fired slugs, buckshot and target loads and they all fired well. There is a little learning curve to firing and loading the gun - once I got the hang of it everything went smoothly. I followed the advice online and purchased a recoil pad for it and it definitely made shooting the gun a very pleasant experience. This gun is great for cowboy shoots, as a truck or boat gun and may become my in-house defensive shotgun. Absolutely loved it!
