Kimber Aegis Elite Pro Pistol - 45ACP, 4 IN. Barrel 8Rd - 8 Rounds, 4" Barrel, Composite Grips, Stainless/Silver, Night Sights

Picked this up at the range yesterday. I gave it a quick look inside and lubed it and was ready to try it out. I loaded 8 mags of different brands with round ball and began firing. I like the sights alot, they are very easy to pick up even in low light. At ten yards it was very accurate and the same at 15. I thought it had a sizeable amount of recoil for a 38 ounce pistol I imagined it would be less. I had my Pro TLE and my Stainless Pro and compared them. The Stainless Pro is 28 ounces and the TLE is 35 and all three are 45's. I thought the Stainless Pro was the most comfortable for some reason and the TLE I thought was a close second in my opinion. It might have just been me, who knows.None of the three were unbearable. Any way , I ended up putting 128 rounds of round ball and hollow points through the Ageis without a single problem. It is a good looking pistol and the round butt frame is comfortable in my hand.I had a couple of Kimbers bobtailed and like that sort of grip. I don't know why I waited so long to get an Ageis.If you like Kimber you might like this one a lot.

I purchased this pistol about a year ago and have carried it in an AIWB holster fairly regularly since breaking it in. This is the real deal as far as 1911's go. I have not had one failure after putting about 750 rounds downrange. For those of us that carry this venerable design, that's saying something. This pistol is also exceedingly accurate, aided by the green rear and red front fiber optic factory sights. The G10 grips feel great in the hand and all of the internals are machined to a very high degree of quality. If you're looking for a .45 1911 to carry, look no further. This is the one.

Not my first 1911 but this is my first Kimber and all i can say is WOW, why did it take me this long? Over the years ive heard mixed reviews about Kimber 1911s but after purchasing this Aegis Elite Pro im sold. The fit and finish is better than my $1,500 S&W Scandium frame 1911 although that pistol is much lighter and designed more for carry the heavy all steel frame and slide of the Aegis is much more pleasant to shoot. I took it to the the range the first week i got it and fired 400 rounds of PMC Bronze 45acp fmj and had 1 failure to go into battery fully. A slight tap to the back of the slide and she was in action. Other than that the pistol worked flawlessly and i have been carrying it and trust it completely. If you’re a 1911 fan this pistol is gorgeous and you should definitely pick one up. I liked it so much that i put a 9mm Kimber KHX Pro on layaway. As usual buds shipping was extremely fast and customer service is top notch. I dont even both going to my local gun store anymore, they’re overpriced and never have what im looking for, but i can always count on Buds. Customer for life.

Great weapon well made. I was deceived by the picture. I thought it was all chrome versus the brush and echo version period other than that it's a good one.

I like the feel of the Aegis, and love the sight set-up (red/green fiber optic). Not crazy about the KimPro Tac-Mag. 8 round magazine that will not fully seat at capacity. I have another 8 round mag from another 1911 that inserts no problem.
Have not had the opportunity to shoot it yet as it took a few extra days to coordinate with the gun store due to current events

first ... its a Kimber, their reputation precedes them. I personally prefer 4" 1911 pistols, better for carry applications and have better balance when compared to it's 5" counterparts. Having said that this is my second Kimber pro model and it's absolutely beautiful, especially the grips and the slide cuts. I regularly carry my pro carry II model Kimber and love it, but the aegis elite pro makes her look like the plain jane at the party( you know what I'm talking about). Excellent groups at the range and smooth as butter, just a tad heavier than the pro carry II.( the aegis elite has a stainless steel frame, whereas the pro carry has an aluminum frame). Lastly, I wasnt too sure about fiber optic sights, I prefer night sights, but the sights on this gun made me a believer. Easy to acquire even when double or triple tapping(not recommended for novices), was very impressed even in low light situations. All in all a fantastic piece from a manufacturer you can rely on, you cant go wrong here. One more personal note- this gun IMO is too pretty to carry daily, I prefer my carry gun to look like my truck - mean, well used and ready for anything, anytime and anywhere.

Excellent firearm! Put 150 rounds of a combination of Blazer Brass and Federal American Eagle 230gr. Very accurate. Had 2 ftf's but attribute that to break in. As usual awesome service from buds! Got the best price possible! This is my 3rd purchase from Buds and will definitely purchase more firearms from Buds. Thanks Buds!
