Kimber Custom II .45 ACP 8RD - 7 Rounds, 5.01" Barrel

This is the first firearm I have purchased from Buds. I had a good experience, overall. This 1911 Custom II .45 is a beautful gun. I have added new grip sleeve and changed out the black grip screws to stainless steel to complement the two tone. I also have a Hogue grip with finger grooves to replace the exisitng grip coming soon...but the stock ones are great as well. This gun fires great and is very accurate out of the box. I am still breaking it in, but having very little issues. Breaking it down was a learning experience but I learned to do it much easier now after watching some YouTube videos on it. My ONLY complaint is that the details says its an 8rd, but only came with 1x 7rd magazine. I have since gone to gunmagwarehouse and purchased 3x 8rd magazines that feel much studier and well built (mec-gar 8rd). The stock magazine seems thin and flimsy, slightly. This is my 2nd Kimber firearm, my other is a R7 Mako 9mm, which has been flawless and not a single issue with over 1000 rds through it. Kimber is a great firearm company. I don't think you will regret getting this to add to your collection, and I fully plan to purchase more Kimber firearms in the future from Buds.

Hands down the best firearm I own. Accuracy is amazing out of the box. Quality of materials used are amazing too!! I get lots of compliments and even people wanting to barter for it. Great looking gun

This is not my first or my only steel government sized 1911 in .45acp. It is a great pistol as is, or a perfect platform for upgrading to a semi-custom, which is what I did. Tool steel ignition from Wilson Combat and tool steel small parts. Those that weren't from Kimber. Seems like they are using more bar stock small parts than they once did. That's good news for consumers. First trip to the range revealed a smooth operator and trouble free operation thru 100 rounds. I will continue break-in as per Kimber, it seems to work. I love the gun, great price, love the black finish with my redwood grips. Replace black front sight and I am finished. I already had many quality mags, don't count on the cheap factory mag unless you upgrade spring and follower. A great deal and good service from Buids' , as usual. Something wonderful about a steel 5" gov't model, perfect balance and reliability.

Gun has been flawless. Currently have run around 700 plus through her and have not had one single failure to feed fire or eject. Have used the factory mag a Wilson, Magtech as well as some old colt factory mags. The only thing I was a little disappointed with was the factory mag which was not smooth feeling at all follower ran rather rough compared to my other mags but never failed to function so can't be that upset by it. For the money you can't go wrong.

Two words F%$#!ng Awesome. Man when I say I love my 1911 I mean I love it. Only a few minor mods but out of the box I was throughly impressed. If you're looking for a 1911 Kimber is the way to go. No lie. Best handgun i've ever held. I've heard about the nighthawk customs and those guys but for me this is it. Done and done. Thanks again buds.
