My first full-size kimber 1911. Beautiful pistol, runs good. I was in the market for a 9mm 1911. I am partial to a colt 1911 but the kimber caught my eye and I wanted to give them a try. Very happy with the purchase. Liked it so well I have a kimber kds9c rail on the way! Liked the wood grips but wanted to put a set of the gray kimber grips on, happy with those as well.

Although I haven't had this gun that long, I have been able to go through a couple of boxes of ammo. I have multiple handguns, of all calibers and I can say that this gun is extremely well balanced, just the right weight (for me) and is a really good looking gun. I had no jams, misfires or any other issue with the Kimber 1911, works flawlessly. It may cost a little more than other 1911's, but if you are looking for a quality weapon, then spend the little extra money and get one of these. The price at Bud's on this one was lower than other stores, so it was a no brainer.

Great job on buds part.$150.00 less than local store.I ran 150 115g fmj without any failure whatsoever !! My first two shots on paper were 1/2 and 1/4 in from bullseye.Love this Kimber

This is my second Kimber 1911, bought one years ago that was always reliable. I've acquired several other higher priced 1911s since, but didn't own a Kimber and when I saw the low price decided to get another one. It came with a metal mainspring housing and has a nice TruGlo front sight. Still comes with only one magazine, but the quality of the pistol is excellent. There is no slide/frame rattle, barrel/bushing fit is perfect, and has been reliable with 115 grain and +P ammo. Accuracy is the same as my Springfields and Dan Wessons - perfectly acceptable. It's a nice gun for it's price, especially under $700!
