All EX versions are cut to fit most popular piston systems. 1.8 inch facetted O.D .offers a comfortable shooting platform while not being to large for most shooters. Accessory rails can be added or removed easily to adapt the hand guard to your needs (units can also be mounted at 45 degree offsets). Thermal bushing locks onto the stock barrel nut. No special tools required for installation. Inside diameter is large enough to fit most suppressors (1.56 inch). Continuous mil spec top rail. Duel anti rotation tabs. Relieved for most gas piston systems. Thermal Bushings helps reduce heat transfer to hand guard. Supplied with 2x2 inch rail kit and 1x4 inch rail kit. Tube material 6010 T6, bushing material 303 stainless. Mil-spec Hard coat Anodized.

I do like the product. It was installed on an Adams Arms AR-15. Only down side is only one set screw is accessible through the holes on the hand guard on a factory installed Adams Arms gas block.

Samson handguards are always great products and Buds sells them cheap and delivers them quick!

Install wasn't too bad, hardest part was getting barrel nut timed so that piston rod would go thru to bcg. Looks awesome on gun, and provides plenty of mounting options

If you're running an Adams Arms standard picatinny gas piston system, there are only a handful of free float rails with a cut-out available to you. The Samson Evolution rails with the cut-out is the by far the best option available. This rail systems utilized the stock barrel nut so that not modifications will be necessary when installing the Adams Arms piston system. Excellent fit and finish.
