This pistol looks small but, don't let that fool you this colt defender chambered in 45 Acp has phenomenal stopping power making it an exceptional companion for concealed carry and self defense. I also highly recommend practicing with it so as to not be caught off guard by its recoil should the need arises.

A great investment for my EDC! Out the box, couldn’t ask for a better performing firearm…I hot almost dead center of a target very first shot, at about 15 yards away. It’s performed flawlessly with multiple brands and types of ammo and you can tell it’s built to high standards with how tight its design is, the way it cycles and how smooth the mags load. I expected way more recoil for a 45 with a 3 inch barrel, but this thing is smooth! I can definitely rely on this Colt Defender to have my back if needed. Well, worth the money, especially if you’re planning to use this as your sidekick!

This beautiful Colt .45 auto is everything anyone could possibly want in a small .45 auto. The handgun itself is gorgeous! Very well made. You have all the special enhancements you could want. Of course, it fits perfectly in my hands. Of course, it is a Colt.

I purchased the colt Defender from Buds and received it in the normal timely fashion. It looked great so I decided to clean it before shooting and oil it properly. So I had problems getting the recoil spring assembly to align to insert the slide stop pin. Like a rookie I scratched my gun before I even fired it. Being disgusted I replaced the recoil spring with a better designed aftermarket model that lined up easily. I plan to carry it in my pocket so scratches are going to come. I have a delta elite and other colts and the quality of the recoil spring assembly is not up to their previous standards. It’s not Buds fault but colts design of the spring along with an old man with shaky hands. Good luck avoiding the virus.

So far I've put around 350 reload rounds through this Colt defender and it works without any issues. Love the gun and of course Buds.

I absolutely love this gun. The only issue was that it only came with one mag, but the description said it should have came with 2 mags. I contacted Buds, they in turn contacted Colt. Colt sent me 2 new mags within just a few days. I was disappointed because they should have been factory SS mags, but one was factory blue, and the other was a shooting star SS mag would have been happier with one factory SS mag. Not Buds fault they did call Colt to get the replacements for me. Thanks Buds great job

Buds is GREAT. I ordered a Rock island 45 that wasn't on the DC approved list. Buds stopped the order and returned all funds. I love my new Colt Defender 45. Buds is the best.
