What can I say M&P has always been a reliable weapon , I have owned this gun for a couple of years , hundreds of rounds through never one single problem. Awesome reset on follow, with .45 punch.

I liked the Shield and when they were just 9mm, I always said, I would love on in 45ACP. So when S&W launched the Shield in 45, I bought one. This is a very nice smallish 45ACP, with a slim grip. It conceals well. Careful, the texture is pretty raspy when you IWB carry, which is where I carry mine. I have shot 230 hardball, and 185 & 200 grain HP's with no problems. No feeding issues. The trigger is very nice and follow-up shots can be made quickly. I have also shot quite a few reloads of 200gr round nose and 200gr SWC's with no issues. I did change the sights to XS combat sights. Otherwise, it is a stock handgun. If you are looking for a 45 caliber concealable handgun, this should be considered. Of course it carries the S&W lifetime warranty, just in case.

This is my daily carry and haven't had any issues. It spits any kind of ammo. I would recommend to anyone looking for a concealed carry.

The .45 shield bucks pretty good with full factory ammo. Controllable but one should practice with this small .45. Handloads made a 70 round break-in session much more tolerable. The gun is surprisingly accurate. Groups of 1.5 inches at 13 yards were the norm. This is plenty for a carry gun. Had a couple of failures to lock back after the last shot but may have been the ammo I was using or one particular magazine. Certainly, recommend this pistol.

70 rounds at 7 thru 25 yards. Can’t ask for more, except for the trigger. Comfortable to shoot, not much recoil on the 45. I’m not the best shot, happy with my grouping and hope to improve. Had the trigger replaced with an Apex by a pro, dropped the pull from around 6 lbs to 3.75 lbs and removed almost all the travel pulling back. Haven’t had a chance to shoot with the new trigger yet. Simply a great gun and comfortable, well concealed, carry in a cross breed In waist band mini holster.
