here lately we have heard that buds will ship with NO Magazine if that is the only reason that a gun is non compliant you would need to Contact Buds customer service (859) 368-0371 available 9AM to 9PM CST Monday through Friday or use the blue chat now button and they will help you with the order . Page, I have heard from credible members that Customer Service Reps have offered this so I would contact Buds at 1-859-368-0371 9am-9pm EST Mon-Fri. or use the Blue Chat now button at the bottom right corner 9am to 9pm Mon - Sat and 9am to 7pm Sunday.

Page - I spoke to a Buds customer service agent just a few days ago, who told me if the magazine capacity is the only reason one can;t buy this rifle, to call them and they will remove the magazine before it is shipped. As magazines are fairly inexpensive, and you would likely be buying extras anyway, give them a call and see if they'll take out the mag and ship it to you. What type of handguard does this have? It doesnt seem to be 1913 rails, but i cant tell what it is

How does it handle steel ammo? Is there any issues with it?

It will work just fine with steel ammo. Some people think steel ammo causes faster barrel wear

as long as you keep the gun clean it will work fine. another (imo better) option is to shoot Brass and sell the empty brass on craigslist/ facebook or other local site

I work at a public range and spend lots of time helping get stuck steel cases out of lots of guns this includes .308. The steel expands just like the brass does except that it does not spring back like brass and is more likely to stick in the chamber. Some people lightly lube steel cases and it seems to help.

Steel cased ammunition will be fine Manny. Due to slightly less case expansion on the steel cased ammo, you will just need to clean the rifle 2/3rds sooner than brass cased ammunition due to slightly more blow by. I don't mix steel and brass at the range but, I have no issues with either.

Best deal on an ar-10. I’ve put my flir pts736 on this and coyote hunt with it 3-4 times a week have yet to miss this 16in barrel holds a great group at 100yds 1/2 in group.

Right now, I am super happy with this rifle and the company that manufactures it. Usual hassle free service from Buds and the best price around. Rifle arrived as expected. I put a brand new Vortex 1-6 on it as I purchased it with the intention of using it as a hunting rifle. Not too heavy, easy recoil and in Tennessee 1-6 is generally sufficient, 1 power if something pops up close and 6 power is fine for hunting deer up to 300 yards. Well...... It was impossible to sight in the scope. Changed the scope, changed the ammo, changed the shooter. I ended up sending the upper back to Diamondback. I asked them if I could pay to upgrade the barrel to the 18" stainless one. They confirmed, faulty barrel. They changed it out to the Stainless 18" and tried it with several ammo types before sending it back to me. First 3 shots, perfect!!! Huge Kudos to Diamondback, they charged me $25 for the stainless barrel upgrade and now it is a great rifle. I did swap out the trigger for a CMC trigger and I am very happy indeed. I had previously bought some Diamondback pistols plus a 300BLK upper many years ago. All have been great. Yes, I would buy another, for the price it's great quality. I also bought a stripped upper from them and assembled that with a 20" Creedmoor barrel. Two thumbs up

Awesome rifle, already put 60 rounds with no issues with the gun. Did have issues with magazine, would not let bolt Carrier close when reloaded. I have had problems in the AR platform with the mags sent with the gun. Easy solution, P Mag, no issues what so ever. Only modification made to the rifle was the grip, don’t much like the grips that come on AR’s. Other than that a sweet shooting gun and hell of a good price.
